Rode to Ft. Smith for the Steel Horse 2024 rally, & my husband & I met up with 3 friends for lunch at this restaurant. My husband ordered a large Steven's Special (it looked like a small; he was the 3rd person to get his order), I ordered a Baja Bowl (menu showed cheese sauce across the entire bowl, but my plate barely had any sauce on the chicken only; I was the 4th person to get my order), one friend ordered a kids quesadilla with extra sour cream on the side (she ended up with more sour cream than quesadilla & rice combined; she was the 1st person to get her order), her husband ordered an enchilada plate with extra jalapenos (he had more jalapenos than enchiladas; he was the last person to get his order), & our 3rd friend ordered steak fajitas (everything on his plate was perfect; he was the 2nd person to get his order). From the time we ordered until all 5 of us had our orders, it took nearly an hour; by the time my friend's husband & I got our orders the other 3 at our table were finished eating & ready to go back to the rally. Next time we'll just stick to ordering beer at the restaurants, & get our food from the food trucks.

This place has always been one of my favorites, especially with the live music of . 357!!!Parking: The parking wasn't too bad, it was after hours so several lots and lots of street parking was available behind the restaurant. Steel horse rally was in effect; so Garrison Ave was closed but parking wasn't intolerable.
An hour wait for food. We had to share silverware. Not all of our group got our food had to keep asking for it definitely would not come here and waste your hard earned bucks. Shouldn't have to ask more than once for our food OR our silverware. We aren't animals, we're humans we need silverware! PLUS we also should NOT have to ask more than once for the correct food

I visited La Huerta on Garrison and had a positive experience with good service and food, but I was annoyed by an additional fee on the bill.I would prefer you raise the prices a few cents rather than add a fee on at the end. It’s misleading, you expect to pay based on menu prices but then get hit with a fee.Some people will say I could have paid cash but we don’t typically carry cash and the fee was added after the fact so we couldn’t go get cash at that point. I can afford the meal and the fee that is not the point, the point is that it’s misleading.I know small businesses struggle and everyone is feeling it these days but credit card fees are a cost of doing business. If your costs go up raise your prices to offset it don’t just add extra fees.

The food was good, and service was awesome. This was our first time in this restaurant, and over-all the food was amazing UNTIL I found a roach in my food. I ordered a baja bowl. And upsettingly found a roach. They ended up giving me a refund. But this was utterly disgusting and I lost my appetite and left my food un-eaten.

Over all not great service. This first time I went there I was left outside for 20 mins with a child no drinks or anyone even speaking to us just being ignored. Then I get a hair in my food. I get it. It’s a busy day so I took them as mistakes and let it go. This time I call in my food to just take out. The woman on the phone wouldn’t hardly let me get out my order as I’m saying it kept interrupting me with okay what else when I’m telling her what else. My food order was all wrong. I asked for no meat, I got beef and chicken on the nachos. & no cheese sauce on the burrito, got cheese sauce on the burrito. Over all just not great.
