After a day at the crystal mines we were ready for a good meal. Mexican food sounded good and we found this location on Trip Advisor. We were new to the area so had to find location. (not on a main street). Well worth it. Prompt seating and service. Good Mexican food. Reasonable prices!

Got breakfast to go on our scenic drive north. My wife had the Western Omelet. It was tasty and huge. She ate twice from it, and I helped. I loved the toasted bacon and egg. We called 20 minutes ahead and it was waiting nice and hot on us. We will definitely stop there again.

We stumbled into the Caddo Cafe while camping nearby. The reviews convinced us to try it and I’m so glad we did! We each had an omelette and kiddos had pancakes. Service was quick and friendly! Hats off to our server Bertha for her prompt service to a group of camp weary travelers! We will be back!

We'd definitely come back. The burger is huge and tasty, sode of fries is small, but the quality is yum! The chicken tender salad filled me up, but I still made room for sopapillas and they did not disappoint. Mmmmm... next time maybe I'll start with dessert. Landon, our server, is very attentive and friendly. Good experience overall. This place is out of the way behind chain fast food places. It's worth the hunt.

This was a very pleasant surprise stumbling into this restaurant on our way back from Crater of Diamonds State Park to Hot Springs. The Mrs had the Chicken Tostada with rice and beans. I had the catfish lunch special. Excellent food, preparation and presentation. The staff were friendly and attentive. We would come back again for sure!

This restaurant is a little off the beaten path and is hard to notice from the highway. It is well worth looking for, however. The place was jam packed and very busy but we got in and were seated in less than a jiffy. The wait staff were friendly and efficient even given the crowd. We ordered the fajitas and some queso. Chips and salsa were brought pronto. Chips were thin and tasty and the salsa was fresh and delicious. Great food and service. No wonder the locals filled the place!

We happened to be in Glenwood at lunchtime last Monday, and our favorite restaurant (Ari's Little Italy) was not open. We had noticed the Caddo Cafe the last time we stopped at the donut shop across the parking lot, so we thought we'd give it a try. What a great discovery it turned out to be. The place was packed, and yet we did not have to wait. I had a senior burger that came with fries and a drink for $4.99. It was without a doubt one of the best burgers I've ever eaten. Our waitress was prompt and very helpful. Everything was neat and clean. Just an all around good experience. I can recommend the Caddo Cafe with no hesitation. We will definitely be back.

Summer’s over, Glenwood’s a sleepy little town again. We popped in for a bite and the food was good. I had the hamburger steak with onion rings and rice. Since they serve both American and Mexican cuisine, they offered us chips and salsa to start! Who turns down chips and salsa? There are two kinds of chips—thin or thick. These were thin but not too thin for dipping and the salsa was just like at every other Mexican restaurant, only better. I was a little surprised that the rice with my hamburger steak was Mexican rice, but hey, I’m not complaining! Seems lots of locals eat there and luckily we got there before the rush. It’s not a large dining area and the tables were quite large. Ours was almost touching the adjacent table and we toyed with introducing ourselves to the couple we were dining with. The three bikers two tables over were having a good time and have you ever noticed there’s always that one person dining whose voice carries better than anyone else, like maybe they are a little hard of hearing? That was one of the bikers at that table, the one wearing the blue bandana but oddly enough riding the sweet red Honda Goldwing with the tall antenna. The bike had a tall antenna like maybe for an FM radio or CB, and I wondered why in this age when you can pick up signal from a satellite in outer space with practically no antenna on your car that a motorcycle has to have a four-foot whip. But I digress. The food was good but as it approached 12:10, my wife’s claustrophobia kicked in and she suddenly had to leave. Good food, service a little slow (really, why not just bring ketchup with onion rings and not make us have to ask twice?), felt like we were now citizens of Glenwood though we know we would always be considered outsiders since we can’t trace back to the 1850s in our lineage in these parts. Keep up the good work, Caddo Cafe! We’ll be back next time on our Honda!

We ate here while passing through Glenwood and won’t be coming back. My husband says that overall, his burger was good. I had one of the enchilada plates. Before I got into the enchiladas, he warned me that the cheese in his burger was “low quality.” Turns out, the same orange, plasticky, highly questionable cheeselike substance was in my enchiladas. It didn’t taste good, so much so that I could only stand to eat a few bites of the enchiladas. I decided to eat just the tortilla part, since the sauce was good, and when I started scraping the cheese from it, it came off cleanly in one big piece—it had not behaved at all like real cheese (see photo of the giant cheese slug below). On the way home, my stomach got uncomfortable. It’s a real shame because there’s not much to eat in Glenwood.
