Hoshi Japanese Cuisine

The food at Hoshi is fresh and absolutely delicious—no question about that. You can tell they care about quality ingredients and flavor.

But here’s the issue: when half your meal shows up, and the other half doesn’t come for another 30 minutes, it ruins the experience—especially if you’re dining as a family. Meals should be shared, not staggered.

If they had someone managing the kitchen to coordinate timing, this place could easily be a 4 or 5 star spot. Until then, it’s hard to recommend for anything beyond a solo visit. Great food, poor execution.

The outside was little iffy you didn’t know what the food would tasted like , but boy you are in for a dream , The food was amazing didn’t have any complaints on it , besides the half order was still large amount to eat , and I was sad I couldn’t take it home with me cause of the long trip home !!!

Very good food but waits for the sushi can be long plan to wait an hour but most the time there is no major wait times. Onion soup is probably the best in town.

This is the lowest quality Japanese restaurant that alters traditional recipes for Japanese salad dressing that is supposed to be carrot and ginger to slimy mayo. The Eel sauce is cut with so much sugar… its just brown. The Wasabi is green paste without hardly any flavor. The BIGGEST DISAPPOINTMENT that we came here for was the Tempura which was some crumbly gas station food service dark brown nasty looking excuse for any sort of fried food.
Service is also lacking. Had to ask the server to bring plates and napkins to the table that should have already been there or brought with food service.

Great food but need to fix the time to wait for food. Call in ahead of time to make sure I’m there on time and still have to wait an extra 45 minutes for a take out order. Even if they aren’t packed. 🙄

Don’t order drinks through DoorDash because they forget to put it in your order and expect you to go pick it up after you finish your lunch !!! Very upsetting because that’s why I ordered a coke to have with my meal ! ?

LUCILLE the TWEAKER and the FAT BLONDE are going to take this restaurant down Lucille the girl that looks like a meth head and the fat one act as if the world owes them something they severd me an my friends on styrofoam plate while everyone else ate on plates and had silver wear they are extremely rude to me and my dates ive taken several different dates there and they have attempted to start drama every time please make a better selection of restaurant when eating in Harrison

The owner erwin has instructed to not allow his staff to even make alterations for food allergy. Which is shortsighted at best, but the server was genuinely scared to even ask the cook because she would get in trouble or potentially lose her job. Very disappointed.

I had the spicy ramen chicken and a strawberry boba and it was amazing !!!! Also got to try some sushi and it was just as good also !!!!!

Waiter was nice but hibachi meal was mediocre at best. The salad they gave us was drowning in the dressing making it a hassle to eat. Rice was flavored with pepper at most and the noodles were glorified spaghetti noodles. Veggies were half raw. Personally won’t be coming back. Waiters were nice and friendly though!

Great staff. Great prices. A little heavy on the salt, but otherwise quite amazing. Our waiter was awesome. Everything was fast. We were passing through but would detour a bit to come here if ever nearby again.

My daughter loves the lord of rings from there and we get it and share it between 3 people it's a good portion.
