I got a chicken fried steak plate and loved every bite. My husband got a blackened catfish plate that was fantastic. The portions could of been a little bigger but overall the food is hard to beat. Prices are a little high but location had alot to do with that. The family that owns and operates it are so sweet and kind. We walked in as a table of 10-12 and they did their best to show us great service. Thank you for a great family dinner.

I have known and respected this family since I was a kid and now I’m 55! They are the real deal and I have celebrated so many special occasions here.
Such as my parents retirement party, high school alum gatherings (see attached), my wedding rehearsal dinner (attached), etc! Can’t say enough about them and the food and service have always been on point. :)
My whole table was freezing, they don’t accept card. Gravy had no salt or pepper. The waiter was good but that’s about it. And all the food was smaller then most places

Fantastic food, always. My son, who can be a picky eater, loves the catfish. The only thing that surpasses the food is the customer service. A trip through Hazen is never complete without stopping at Murry’s.
Southern tradition I had the seafood platter. Shrimp, catfish, crab cake with French fries. It was all good, the catfish the best. Well worth the trip but bring cash. No cards accepted.

The food was amazing. The catfish was hot and crisp. The onion rings light and crispy. The slaw was fresh. The fresh baked bread and bread pudding was the best I've ever had, and the tea was perfect. The staff are friendly. They test you like family! The location is out away from town and perfect. I love this place.

Murry's Restaurant earns that throughout, however, with incredible food, service that's flat-out the best you can get and a cool restaurant out in the country away from town. Their catfish is some of the best I've ever eaten, and I've eaten more than my share. It's served with a thin, crunchy, perfectly fried coating of corn meal and spices, and all the side items--hushpuppies , fries, baked potato, coleslaw and salad--were excellent as well. A special treat is the big loaf of freshly baked buttery bread that comes with your entree, and what may be the best bread pudding on the planet. I can't say enough about the impeccable service. Our waitresses were friendly and efficient, taking care of our every need and making us feel right at home. We even were invited to the kitchen to meet the owner, Stanley Young, his wife Becky and their two daughters, one of whom was our waitress. We felt like family when we left, and indeed the Youngs told us that was now the case after introductions all around. Bring cash to pay because they don't take credit cards. And be ready to enjoy one of your best restaurant experiences ever. Murry's is incredible.
