Some of the best southern BBQ I’ve ever had and I’m a real BBQ snob. No fatty chunks in the meat!! They offer two sauces, regular and hot…. A mix of them was perfect for a little spicy kick. All the sides are made fresh in house and the potato salad and slaw were excellent. They had run out the beans when we got there at 12:30 due to a large crowd coming after a funeral. Highly recommend if you’re in Helena…. Nice folks too!
Poor Helena is a struggling town, but with establishments such as this they are on their way back. Great people providing outstanding food. The sides knocked my socks off. I had room for an oatmeal cookie, the best I have ever had! Worth the short trip over the bridge from the casio.

I had two meals here. For dinner I had the ribs and they were tender and nicely smoked. The beans and Arkanslaw were spot on. The next day for lunch the pulled pork sandwich Arkansas style was moist and smoky and no sauce was required. They also have brisket and chicken on the menu so maybe I’ll return either before or during the next King Biscuit Festival.
