DO NOT GO HERE.This is the worst restaurant experience I've ever had, I don't know how they have the audacity to make people pay for this.SO SLOW despite being mostly empty. Server took probably 10 minutes to stop playing on her phone and take our orders. We got two simple plates of breakfast food. Just an omelette with hash browns, and eggs with biscuits and gravy. It took an hour and came out mostly cold, but also burnt!NASTY. The biscuit was black on the outside and hard as a rock, and the hash browns were somehow both burnt and mostly raw in places. The eggs were just a flavorless pile of yellow mush.DIRTY. To top it off I went to wash my hands and the bathrooms looked like they hadn't been cleaned in a week, flies everywhere. This place is so dirty it should be shut down, I couldn't eat anything else after that.

Made the mistake of stopping in and it was terrible. I ordered a chicken sandwich but got a hamburger. Rather than complaining, I just ate it. Average at best. My husbands white beans seriously tasted like an ash tray had been dumped in it. Will never be back.

Wish I could give more stars to this local restaurant. I’m being generous with 2 stars just because it has a nice space. Came in for lunch and the food was…just edible. The jalapeño grilled chicken had a piece of American cheese slapped on the top of it… supposed to come with Swiss cheese. The sides were just barely warm. Which made the gravy on the mashed potatoes ?. Green beans had no seasoning. Tastes like can green beans. Only reason we ate the food was because we paid for it. They were also out of stock on half the menu. Only had a few sides. I’m guessing they ran out of cheese which is why they through a fake American cheese on the pan fried chicken. Also heard on the way out they were out of onion rings for burgers someone ordered. Heard good things about this place but was disappointed. Based off this experience I would not even give a second chance to this restaurant. Im not sure what the disconnect is between the photos on social media vs the food we received. I truly hope they can figure out why they are receiving 1 star reviews lately. I really wish I took a picture of the food to post but it was so bad I felt it would have been disrespectful to post it.

Our family of 4 went for a late breakfast, around 10:30. We were the only people there minus one table that already had food. I ordered a ham omelet and about 30 minutes after ordering was told they were out. Took 45 minutes to receive the first plate of food and then an additional 5 minutes between the other plates. All eggs were undercooked, whites still runny. The bacon was very undercooked, we wouldn’t let our daughter eat it. The breakfast bowl looked like soup and could not be eaten. Waitress just took plates away seeing we barely ate and didn’t say anything. We definitely won’t be back.

Really wanted to try giving this place a second shot.Started with being out of bacon and Mtn. Dew… ended up being also out of ham steak and chicken fried chicken. Said their town runner had broke down. 9:30 on a Sunday isn’t the time to be making a major food run IMO.We decided to go ahead and leave.Service has always been slow (always chit chatting and on phones) and food just ok. We had decided last time would be our last but decided to try once more. Disappointed again and definitely won’t return. This area could use a good cafe so it’s a shame.

If I could give a no star I would. Use to be our favorite place to eat breakfast and it has turned into a place I’ll never go again. Kept forgetting what we ordered, didn’t have bacon, tea tasted like dish water , just overall very disappointed in how this cafe has turned out. The restaurant is nice, clean & building was built in 1908 but the food was not that great. I got chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes & green beans, was $8.99 special. It was okay. Parents got hamburger steak with mashed potatoes & green beans, was $7.99 special. Mashed potatoes had big clumps potato that could not cut. Meat okay.

FRIDAY => Fresh bake biscuits, just like grandma’s used to make. One of a kind genuine country cooking Café️. Breakfast️ => Everything taste delicious. Johanna the server, provided excellent friendly atmosphere and service. SATURDAY => leftover hard biscuits from the previous day. The gravy was ice cold. Coffee was very good.

When she was back we ordered an appetizer, which was not the Texas cheese fries we ordered, but potato's with cheese sprinkled on top. When mentioned, she said oh yeah I'll get the toppings... finally 15 min later she returns and takes our orders, still no fries toppings. She returns to state they don't have one item ordered, no problem. 10 min later back for another item they don't have(corn...). 10 more minutes, no hot dogs. The three year old we had with us was not happy for this! Finally around 1:15 we got plates. The portions were small and cold for the most part. Chicken strips and tots for the kid were hot but run of the mill. Patty melt the burger was so tough and overcooked my MIL couldn't chew it well. No seasoning. The jalapeño grilled chicken was good but sides cold and Mac and cheese tasted off. The chicken fried steak was the worst ever, no gravy on meat or potatoes, and So tough. And cold sides.
