Not my first time at big Jake’s. It’s a fairly good bbq place. Not award winning IMO tho their walls display some ribbons and plaques, that may have been something special but not their everyday bbq. I had small brisket plate, slaw and Mac n cheese , and their self serve pinto beans bowl. Brisket was tender, I just prefer more bark and seasonings, Mac n cheese was sawdust bland and unsavory, slaw was ok but not my preference. I like a sweeter KFC type. The pintos were probably...
If you’re traveling in this area, do yourself a favor…STOP HERE AND EAT! A local BBQ spot with a long history in the state of Arkansas!Apparently some famous people have eaten there! It’s old style barbecue with exquisite taste! When they say, they put love and they barbecue, you can taste it! The service was spot on, and the staff it well with a smile!10/10
