The food here is really good. All the pastries taste delicious and the service is beyond any bake shop that I’ve ever been in. whenever you have questions on what the item and what does it taste like the staff at the bakery are knowledgeable about it. we will come back here for sure.

I stopped eating there about a year ago as I had some really poor service. Meaning I was seated and sat for 15 minutes and walked out without being served coffee or water. There were three occurrences like this. We just stopped going. I have had more good experiences than bad. We went back last weekend, the service was great and the food was fresh, hot and tasty.

I drive from Dallas to Lake Ouachita early in the mornings. I drink from Three Sisters Springs, enjoy the lake and then go to home plate for lunch. It's a great destination.

The food here is always good! The only problem is that our server Alisha K was rude. During our order she was rude to myself and my boyfriend! Going to get lemons for us seemed to just upset her! When I requested an item to be extra cooked she made a rude face, same thing when my boyfriend ask to change something simple about a dish do to an allergy. Which had been done for him previously here!

Then I asked about a bakery item because I had NEVER heard of it before! I asked simply. "What's a rumball?" And she replied rudely "it's a cake ball....with RUM in it!" She said it to me like I was an idiot. It was blantly disrespectful!

She was sniffling and coughing. But even if you aren't feeling well it isn't an excuse to be extremely rude to guest who simply have questions or request!

Highly recommend the food. It’s pricey but you certainly get what you pay for. The onion rings and okra are hand breaded on site. You can eat a whole plate of their hush puppies. We had the grilled shrimp and catfish and they were delicious. We will be back!

I ordered a large “holiday-type” catering order to be delivered about a week in advance. They confirmed several times to ensure the timing and location was correct, which was so appreciated. The food was delicious! We ordered turkey (which was so juicy!), dressing, mac n’ cheese, gravy, mashed potatoes, among other items, and several platters. I absolutely recommend Home Plate for all of your catering needs! Thank you for making this such a seamless experience!

Top notch! I travel all over this great country, and this place is as good as it gets for a traditional American diner. Super friendly and professional staff. Get the country fried steak. You can cut it with your fork.
