Ate at the Portia location today. The pork steak was very tender and the catfish was excellent. Service was very friendly! I highly recommend it!

I waited 30 minutes for a hamburger and fries, and when I finally got them they were cold. I took a couple of bites and threw the rest away. The burger had no taste. The fries were limp, and to top it off, I got a peach fried pie, and it was rotten, they came running out and asked me if I had eaten any of it. I ate 2 or 3 bites, but it tasted tough and just bad, so I just couldn't eat it, and they came out to my car and took it back, said the other one they had, had mold on it. I don't recommend this place to eat at all. I won't ever eat there again. With my tip is was over 15.00. Not worth it.

All the food was cold and no one there ever heard of a seasoning. Nothing had flavor and afterwards my stomach was killing me. Not an enjoyable experience. I dont know who is posting all these high star reviews but a southeastern gas station has this place beat by miles.

Excellent experience here, the ladies were very nice. The food was good and hot, I had come in right when they were getting ready the buffet and the catfish was OK, the peach cobbler is great, and the breakfast was delicious

My family and I were traveling to AR from GA to see the 2024 eclipse, and we happened Ole Hickory, a gem hidden here in Hoxie, AR. I am a concierge at a high end hotel, and I have rarely seen a place as genuinely hospitable as this. I cannot recommend it more. I was thoroughly impressed with the attentive service, the slow but respectfully prompt pace, the wonderful, hot, and well prepared food, and of course the genuine hospitality. A local mom and pop sleeper. Five stars all around.
