Visited here on my holiday to AR recently (from Scotland). Really great home cooked style food, and really nice staff. Reasonable prices, and good portions sizes.

Would not recommend to any one outside of this town. Was recommend by a good friend, experience started out pleasant enough. 4 adults and 3 kids. Drinks come out. Of course children who don’t get to eat out often are gonna want at least 1 refill, never got a single refill. Everybody at the table was served besides myself(7months pregnant) and my boyfriend. Male adult had “curly” fries that were more like chips as well as the 9 year old, and they were cold, not worth eating. 15 minutes later my burger comes out cold, with no fries. I specifically asked for fries. Other female adult ordered from the specials menu, veggie soup and grilled cheese. It was cold with unmelted cheese. Not a grilled cheese what so ever. My boyfriend still has not received his meal, I’m not gonna sit in front of my boyfriend who doesn’t have any food and eat. The waitress had been to the table multiple times and still did not have my boyfriend’s meal. He asked to speak to the manager, who is “granny” she got extremely upset, called him stupid and said he was going to jail. Huntsville PD came out, while the entire restaurant stared and laughed and apologized to the waitress because she was overwhelmed. Totally understandable to be overwhelmed but to make a mistake and do nothing to fix it is not okay or acceptable. Only to see her standing in the back accusing a group of people of not having money and laughing definitely looked like a front to myself and family. Granny was not happy with the outcome and walked away from Huntsville PD. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND. P.s. the full fries and full meal came out after the officer had already arrived.

Granny's Kitchen is a wonderful place to eat. We love it! To the previous reviewer, your events aren't based on truth and you proved as much throughout your post. First the waitress did refill the child's sprite. Next you said you didn't get your food, but didn't want to eat in front of your BF that hadn't received his. Congrats on the baby btw. Wanna know what makes a waitress overwhelmed? An adult screaming at a young waitress until you made her cry. Let's think about WHY the entire restaurant was apologizing to the waitress. They saw how you were treating her. You said it yourself that the entire restaurant...no one would have even knew what was going on if you weren't causing a scene. Did it look like she was cooking your food at the table? The manager also tried to make it right, and the remaining meal was brought out by 2 waitress' and when you refused the plate, they offered to pack it to go but you still refused. This is before you went to the register and denied payment. At that point the cops were called. Also your young waitress wasn't laughing at you, she was still crying. What kind of person makes KIDS cry like that? Granny's kitchen is a staple in our town. I hope anyone that read your review will take into consideration the truth of the event being discussed.
Always been a great family oriented, kid friendly local fave. The owners are amazing. Waitresses are always smiling and friendly. Cooks are very good!

Drove over 2 hrs to come eat at granny’s. We arrived at 230 and they were closed!!!!!! They had posted hours on the door that said they were open until 6. What a wasted 2 hour drive.

Granny's is a down home friendly place and serves great food. Breakfast and lunch sun. Thru Thursday 6 am until 230 pm. Friday and Saturday hours are 6am until 9 pm. We have a wide variety of specials everyday and also menus.

Passing thru and stopped at this place. For a small town place, they're doing a great job with the food here. A flavorful coating on the chicken fried steak. The gravy tasted better than it looks. And the brown beans were certainly flavorful. I'd go back anytime!
