Anytime I am in Jacksonville, I always make a stop at Emily's Diner. It's pretty much tradition now. It's a classic diner. It's not fancy, but it will still deliver delicious food. I usually get a breakfast plate of 2 sunny side up eggs, hashbrowns, toast and bacon, but this time I decided to switch things up and just get a simple BLT and hashbrowns. It was just as yummy as my usual. Emily's Diner will give you exactly what you expect- home cooking away...
Food was great. Don’t be deceived by the exterior. Everyone was super friendly service was great. I had the catfish which was very good. My husband had the chicken fried steak with fried squash and okra and our friend had the chicken fried chicken with mashed potatoes and okra. We came with our church senior group about 35-40 people. The music was kind of loud we asked for them to turn it down and they were very fast to honor our request.
