My wife and I ate here after reading the reviews. It was terrible. The waitress took our orders, 2 catfish and shrimp with sides. 20 minutes later she came back and said the machine did not send our order to the kitchen. She told us that she verbally gave the kitchen our order and it will be out in a few minutes. After waiting for another 10-15 minutes we decided to have our orders to-go, my wife went and found the waitress and told her we wanted our orders to-go. Another 10-15 minutes later the orders were brought to the table. We left the restaurant, went to our vehicle and checked the orders and found the plastic utensils were not in the bags. I went back in to get them. We took the food back to the hotel room and were eager to eat, only to be disappointed. Everything tasted like it came from a box, just bland. 50 plus dollars wasted.

The meat was very bland, there was no smoke ring on the meat so not sure how it was cooked, brisket tasted more like a roast, didnt even look or cut like a brisket, no rub on meat. The pull pork was tasteless. On the other hand the catfish was awesome. The slaw was perfect. Okra was just frozen okra deep fried but it was good. Service was excellent. Restaurant was clean and well maintained.
we ate there a while back, it had been a long time since we had been there, it wasn't good. my fish was overcooked and my ribs were tough/overcooked(had the bitter burned taste). the service was good. but we won't be back.

We love to eat here but it was terrible tonight. Fish was burnt, coleslaw had no flavor and onion had a terrible smell. Very disappointed and was definitely not worth the money!

If you want some REAL smoked bbq - this is your place! We stopped in on our way home from leaf-peeping in Wisconsin as Jacksonville is home to the AFB here hubs served 50 yers ago. We were delighted with all of what we got - burnt ends, baked beans, pulled pork sandwich and loaded potato salad. Staff were amazing and gave us free BBQ sauce samples to try. They were all delicious! Even though it was the day of the LSU v Arkansas game- they treated us like family! LOL! You will not be disappointed - some of the best burnt ends we have ever eaten!

Haven’t been there is a long time so we decided to give it a try. Don’t waste your money!! The burnt ends were so tough I couldn’t chew and the sauce was way too sweet. The ribs were way over cooked and dry. Yes, should have sent them back, but just wont go anymore. So disappointing.
