The food was great had a pulled pork sandwich and the barbecue nachos I can't wait to eat there again and the lady that took my order Holly H great server thank you for the recommendation
The meat was very bland, there was no smoke ring on the meat so not sure how it was cooked, brisket tasted more like a roast, didnt even look or cut like a brisket, no rub on meat. The pull pork was tasteless. On the other hand the catfish was awesome. The slaw was perfect. Okra was just frozen okra deep fried but it was good. Service was excellent. Restaurant was clean and well maintained.
If you want some REAL smoked bbq - this is your place! We stopped in on our way home from leaf-peeping in Wisconsin as Jacksonville is home to the AFB here hubs served 50 yers ago. We were delighted with all of what we got - burnt ends, baked beans, pulled pork sandwich and loaded potato salad. Staff were amazing and gave us free BBQ sauce samples to try.
