I had the pleasure of being served by Chris the cook during my recent visit to Waffle House, and I must say, his service was exceptional. Chris worked with impressive speed and precision, ensuring that every dish was cooked perfectly and arrived at the table hot and fresh. Beyond his culinary skills, Chris’s friendly demeanor stood out—he greeted customers warmly and seemed genuinely invested in making sure everyone had a great experience. The kitchen ran smoothly under his watch, and it was clear he takes pride in his work. If you’re looking for a Waffle House where the food is made with care and the staff are welcoming, Chris is definitely one of the reasons to come back.

The food is always pretty good. However the delivery system is terrible. I ordered my food for delivery, and got multiple confirmations for delivery, yet as my food was ready I get another text saying it's ready for pickup. This was a MAJOR inconvenience as I was almost blackout drunk at the time.
Lesson: Don't ever order waffle house for delivery

Um, if I could give a 0 rating, I would for the simple fact at 2:19 AM that I want to go and get food, the door was logged. There was 5 employees inside 4 of them are sitting on their butt. Doing nothing but playing on their phone and uh, on top of that, Wolf laus is 24 hours. I do not recommend Jacksonville Waffle house 4 by far. They are getting paid to sit on their butt. For no reason, I cannot even get a order at all. None of them are tempted. To approach, need to go window or anything like that

The meal / entree I get here is the bacon / scrambled egg & cheese toaster sandwich. waffle hard /burnt and I asked for waffle lite / bacon medium & bread lite not burnt.. But the thing I don’t like is sometimes the cashier hosts, and how this elderly lady likes to put condiments on the inside of my container on the food “cross contamination-I don’t know where these condiments been & neither do you, please stop putting condiments in the container on the food!!!!!” Hell Timmy could have dropped that pack of ketchup/syrup on the floor and put it back in the box or on the counter & you got it & placed in on my food.. I don’t like the fact that receipt don’t give detail of my order. How am I/We suppose to know what we purchased?? Please explain — update your receipt printer detail. I been over charged for almost 6 months and this is crazy.

Waffle House is Waffle House. Somehow they are all equal. Food comes out good, but not 5 star good. Everyone working there looks a little off putting and a little questionable if they wash their hands or not. But you go for the waffles.

The staff here are friendly, but they could improve when it comes to listening and getting orders right. Uncertain in this instance if it's the server or the cook.
I typically order the same thing at any Waffle House, but on this occasion, I was told there were no substitutes. Eventually, they did provide the substitution. It was an unexpected surprise, as I’ve never had an issue like this before. In this case I think maybe the server didn't know this was a possibility. My eggs were not cooked correctly. I chose to not have them corrected as so many other issues were already going on.
The other person in my party ordered a meal without eggs, but they had to redo the order, because it came out with the eggs! Longer wait time now for them to eat.
Last party member complained about receiving old grits, hard & clumpy. Also had issues with missing items—like the waffle, that should have come with the meal & extra sideof test requested. Lemon for my water, asked at the beginning, received it towards the end of my meal.
The fact that we had to keep asking for our server and trying to ger her attention made the whole experience longer and more frustrating. There were so many issues with the meal that it took even longer to address them because our server was hard to get ahold of.
Added an extra star just due to the friendliness of the staff.
