Interesting place, the food was great! I will return. I suggest you make the stop. I tried to take everything in, but thats just not possible, its going to take several trips.

Ozark Cafe is on the central square of Jasper, opposite the court house, with street parking nearby. We were early welcomed and shown to a table. The decoration is eclectic and an entertainment in itself. Menu to look like a newspaper was novel. Wide choice of drinks and food. Large portions of delicious food served rapidly with a smile. Good value. Seemed to cater to locals as well as those like us on the scenic byway.

Nine dollars for a kids grilled cheese and chocolate milk.... Okay, I assume that was imported cheese on artisan bread....with the chocolate milk made with fresh Swiss chocolate. Well? No response, that's typical for low quality overpriced food...no problem

Great place for a meal in Jasper at more than reasonable prices. Outstanding quick service, friendly staff and terrific breakfast. Very cool local historical site with a genuine authentic vibe.

The girls that work at this place are super nice. The owner/manager is a dud and wouldn’t even let the girl finish taking my order to go at the register because I had a 5 pound Chihuahua with me. Happy to wait outside for my order, but let me finish paying for goodness sakes. We just left and got food at the pizza place around the corner they were very friendly.

Was happy to wait the extra 40 minutes to get a table, but not fond of taking the first bite of my burger to have 2 black hairs come out of my mouth, still fully attached in the rest of the burger. I let the waitress know, and she went ahead to get another burger made.
They did not seem very concerned at all that it happened. Still charged full price, along with a large bumper sticker to share the good news.
I’ve never been one to ever send food back, but to have someone’s hair in my mouth and still attached to the burger, and the staff not really care, doesn’t sit right with me.
Fries were decent. Service was ok. Might find a new place to stop.
