Good bbq. Cole slaw a bit too mayonnaisey. Beans were good. I enjoyed the potatoe salad. The yeast rolls were delicious. I would go back.

I was surprised. The food is great. The pulled pork, mashed potatoes, fries…all of it. I had the Sweetpea Special with baked beans and pulled pork over fries. If you’re at the lake then stop for breakfast, lunch, or dinner.

We are regular at Sweetpea’s when we’re in the area. They have excellent barbecue, plus most other American foods. For example, yesterday I took three teen guys with me. One ordered something chicken fried, another ordered a bacon cheeseburger, and the third ordered a hot dog. I’m the only one who ordered a BBQ potato loaded with coleslaw, red onions, tomatoes, jalapeños, and more.They make them to order. Give them a try if you’re in the area. They do breakfast too and will be open on July 4th.

We came to this area to go to the Crater of Diamond State Park and found this little gem instead of a diamond. We ate every meal here during our stay and every meal was amazing!! The owner's were super friendly and put in lots of hours and love into what they do! I highly recommend this restaurant if you get a chance to eat here!

We almost didn’t stop. Boy that would have been a mistake!!! The pulled Pork sandwich and oink and heifer sandwich were amazing!!! It had a great smoked flavor and the sweet bbq sauce was wonderful. Service was quick and friendly and atmosphere was clean. We will definitely revisit Sweetpea’s Smokehouse again!!!

The food was cheap and good! The brisket was a tad bit dry but still had good flavor. The BBQ nachos were good but I am not a fan of liquid cheese and it was doused in it. The fried pies were incredibly good, especially the pecan one! The place is small but quiet.

The food is amazing. Some of the best barbecue around. What really sets it apart though is the friendly staff. Honestly I don't know that I ever been to another place with such consistently friendly people.
