We have visited Gaston’s at least 15 years ago and just came back in July this year for 3 nights. It is still what I remember….peaceful…clean…safe….nice and friendly staff and our first time to get a guide, Rick, and we had a blast. The only thing I can complain about is it’s very high priced for rooms (for 2 people) and a guide for 4 hours. The food is delicious and good priced. We will be back to make some memories.

You gotta be here to appreciate the magic, the serenity, the memory you're making that will be there everyday, wherever you are. I felt my shoulders lower three inches as we pulled in to eat. The small aircraft are right there, parked with the guests already checked in, but watching them land or take off is a wonderful experience for the kids in us all. The food is top shelf, along with well trained and attentive servers. Right on the water. Beautiful.

I love Gaston's. I'm in my 40's and have been fishing and staying at the lodge since I was a little kid. It's one of my favorite places in all of the US. The staff is friendly, the food is great, the guides are awesome! Shout out to David for putting us on those big browns. It was an incredible day. Unfortunately I have to say, the beds are killing the entire vibe of what could be perfection. I am not going to post pictures of what the box springs, pillows, and mattresses looked like in our cabin out of respect to the Gastons team. This is by no means a housekeeping issue. The grounds are immaculately kept and the cabins are always super clean. But you guys have had the same beds, blankets and pillows since I was a kid. I struggled all night to sleep. The pillows are pancakes and the beds are like sleeping on ancient springs. I'm an outdoors woman. I don't mind roughing it a bit but dang yall. Show some love to your customers. We are all getting older and prefer a clean and comfortable bed when we spend our dollars for a 1st Class Experience. Love you always Gaston's. Please don't be mad. I just had to say it.

I cannot say enough nice things about Gastons. Ease of booking, thanks to the best front desk staff, and flexible with changes. Truly wonderful staff and accommodations. Also pet friendly which I must have. Immaculate and pristine grounds and rooms. Incredible restraunt onsite open for every meal. From A to Z this is an extraordinary place to spend some time. Cabins sit right on the water and are not duplexes, they are individuals. Fantastic for people and couples to not have to listen to others kids through a thin wall... while I was here it rained heavily steadily. It dampened (haha) my stay. So I spent time in the restaurant and bar. If I could give the restaurant, host, bar, chef, servers and other staff more than five stars I absolutely would. I was very well taken care of on a very busy holiday weekend. There are peacocks and planes (yes airplanes) and lots of wildlife. If you are reading this, book it. Book it and be glad you did. Please over tip the staff. They earn it, they are worth it, and they are a cut above all the rest. I sat most of the weekend and watched the river go by and watched all the boats and the people fishing in the storm and it was sublime. It was magical honestly. My bed faced a giant window, and I woke up to a breathtaking view every morning. Thank you Gastons, you are doing it right. The ozarks is lucky to have you. Blessings

Place was great, 1st timer, service was great - got a guide for one day ( recommend ) - We had Dave. Dave was awesome, Dave put us on the fish, we limited out, then he put us where the trophies lurked. He did all the things. Lots of wildlife up and down the river. Zoo was neat, peacocks were cool. Cabin was decent, no complaints. the restaurant.... ehh.. edible, decent servings, but., do they not know about spices? The blackened chicken pasta lacked any actual flavor. - minor details for an otherwise really awesome trip.

Every person that helped us at the resort was so very friendly and went above expectations. Phil at the dock was spectacular in teaching my son the specifics of what he needed for the water movement of the day and even taught him to clean the fish he caught. I can't say enough about the beauty of the trails and river walk as well. Overall everything was 5 🌟

This weekend was our 2nd trip in past 2 years and they do not disappoint. We fished in what looked like a brand new boat with a very friendly and knowledgeable guide . His name was David and I would highly recommend him . He really enjoys what he does. Ate 3 meals in the restaurant and they were all great. Cannot wait to return !
