I ate here a few years ago and it was good, but I didn’t realize until recently the history and excitement of this classic place hidden away in little bitty Lewisville, AR. I decided to stop again for their classic turkey sandwich, and apple pie which were incredible. I’ll be back again the next time I’m passing through.
I love this place! I usually order on the phone and come to pick up. They are so nice on the phone and take orders accurately. The food is great. It’s my number 1 go-to place for a burger and fries.
If you are headed in any direction that includes a possible detour to Burges, take it and stop for a meal. I'm 69 and started going to Burges while attending Southern State College in Magnolia (1974)! That's 50 years! My family gets a smoked turkey and ham (bone in) shipped every Thanksgiving/Christmas.
