We had lunch at Café Africa, the main eatery inside the zoo. While vegetarian options are limited, the food was fresh and satisfying. The indoor seating provided a nice break from the sun, and service was quick and friendly.

I spent $22 on a fruit cup, a kids drink and an adult drink. The fruit tasted old and was lukewarm. I understand the prices of everything has gone up, but this is ridiculous. I love being a Zoo member but it's definitely not worth it when it comes to the Café.

Used deception to get us to buy the 10 dollar souvenir cup. Argued with me when i said i just wanted large drinks. They don’t wear name tags to no accountability. Busy on instagram the entire time. Ladies and gentlemen i present the next generations work ethic!

Extremely overpriced. What you would consider a small drink at any other restaurant is a large here and costs 4.99. I is also not included with your meal. My kids like the souvenir cups but you must pay for refills

The burgers were dry and over priced, the tables were sticky, the person ringing us up couldn't keep attention long enough to understand our order. . . BUT the Zoo itself was amazing and the atmosphere was great. I would have thought for the low cost that admission was the eateries would follow suite 🤷‍♂️

Kid-friendliness: Great place for the kids to be kids

Members no longer get a discount at the cafe. A burger with fries (no drink) starts at $14 and goes up to almost $20!! They were out of French fries so they gave me a bag of chips. Kids meals are $10 which I think is crazy! Kids meal option is either an pb & j uncrustable or hot dog, animal crackers, fresh fruit (but again, they were out), and a drink. For two kids meals, my burger, and a pretzel it was $47.. yikes. We will definitely eat before we come or go somewhere else after. An absolute downgrade on what they used to offer. So sad because we enjoyed stopping by for a decent priced delicious lunch.

Professional chef or cook, the food was BETTER than most parks (theme parks, zoos, etc...) and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful EVENTHOUGH the place was crawling with kids.

I'm surprised our zoo can afford to have such a nice place to eat at. I was impressed by how good my hamburger/fries and sweet tea was. And how good they keep it clean looking. I think ill start coming here to eat 2-3x a month.

Just visit Café Africa to ruin a good zoo visit. Prices are off the hook for the poor quality food and drinks and for the lack of service. Cashiers are merely wall flowers.
