my experience with capers was horrible. there was a roach that crawled across my table and that doesn't count the hair on my plate when I asked to speak to a manager they sent out a man who didn't know anything about customer service, I don't recommend anyone to go there

I was so excited to get to enjoy a throwback to Cajun's. The Oysters Bienville has been my favorite food for most of my adult life so I was super stoked to get to have them again. Unfortunately, they were not the same. The shrimp and lobster bisque was great and the chocolate creme brulee was good, but the bacon wrapped shrimp was just ok. The atmosphere was nice and our server was great, but the food was disappointing!

I would've given more stars, but we ordered the lobster bisque as an app it was good, and we ordered it as an entree out of the three of us it looked delicious except one bowl looked different and tasted different! If you're out, you're out. Loved the servers....

Delicious lobster bisque soup, steak and lobster with white cheddar grits and vegetables.

Dietary restrictions: Some chefs have issues preparing dishes without onions but i ve not had any problems with no onions at Capers. Thanks Susie and the Chef

Parking: Limited parking places but can go across at a nearby business.

The expectations were high based on the menu of unique items which sets it apart from the majority.
The building is cute but in need of repair visible upon entering the porch. No one seemed interested in attending to us for a minute. We sat on the deck as the weather was great. Our server came along and took our drink order then stayed way too long talking. We eventually got our water but the other drink didn't come and had to be asked for again. We chose the mushroom appetizer, shrimp and grits, and the fried shrimp dinner. The mushrooms were not even warm when they arrived but had a time limit so moved on. I didn't find the chipotle sauce to have any chipotle flavor, my wife didn't even notice any heat. The horseradish sauce was almost as unnoticeable and very thin like a dressing. My shrimp were ok, however the grits were sparse and thick like they were overcooked, and the wine sauce was less than 2 tbsp., for the money I expected more. My wife's fried shrimp were not even close to crispy, she was looking forward to the garlic mashed potatoes however they too were a let down. We end by sharing the key lime pie with chocolate ganache. The key lime was good, the ganache didn't pair well and the crust was uneven and thick.
Certainly will not be a repeat. I believe the manager asked if we wanted coffee with the pie, however I said not at the pace they move and he chuckled and walked away. This place is not worth the money from a food and service perspective.
Go to YaYas.

Historically, we have treated Capers as a special occasion place, but lately my wife and I have been going more frequently to share an app and entree as dinner. Food is always spot on, servers are friendly and remember you from visit to visit. My favorite app is the confetti dip. Favorite entree is the pork chop. The walleye is delicious, too. Chocolate crème brûlée for dessert. Oof! It’s also fun when the owner revives a banger menu from her gone-but-never-forgotten establishment, Cajun’s Wharf, down on the Arkansas River. We also love that the place is acoustically quiet enough to hear conversation from everyone at our table.10 out of 10.

We had a large group and the waitress did an excellent job of taking drink orders, food orders and getting out to us promptly. There was a little mix up with the tickets but it was worked out quickly. The food was so good, it was hard to choose just one thing.
