Elk was so tender and really well seasoned. Pumpkin maple tiramisu super light and tasty. Molly took great care of us.

My husband and I ate here for the first time on Thanksgiving day at about 12pm. This was our first visit and we were very happy with the experience. I ordered a pasta dish and my husband ordered a grouper sandwich. Both were exceptional and our waiter was friendly and helpful, but not at all intrusive. We ended the meal with a chocolate creme brulee which was incredible. We will definitely be back!

We ate at the bar and everything from the service to the wine and food was outstanding. It was not cheap but you certainly get what you pay for at this establishment. We ate lunch here the next day and again, everything was tremendous. Highly recommend!

Very good restaurant: beautiful atmosphere, delicious drinks, and very good food. We love that it's at a hotel with valet parking.

The Capital Hotel's Bar and Grill is an excellent spot for a libation and small meal... in my opinion. F0r dinner I have questions? Lunch menu is limited... Service is above par.. Would we go back.. if staying at the hotel and we had a limited time schedule, Yes.. but to stay let's go have a great lunch, No! It's a grand hotel.. not a grand Restaurant...

Service was ok. Felt a little rushed. She was sweet tho. Food was good. Short rib empanadas were giving Sysco. Dessert was excellent!

My husband and I chose Capital Bar and Grill for our recent anniversary dinner, hoping for a memorable and relaxed evening at a historic Little Rock landmark. Unfortunately, our experience fell short of the high standards we anticipated for such a special occasion, particularly in terms of value and atmosphere. The ambiance possesses the classic, stately elegance of the Capital Hotel, but for a romantic milestone, the noise level was simply too energetic and busy (3/5 Stars). While we could converse without shouting, the persistent clamor made the atmosphere feel less intimate and more like a lively happy hour, which wasn't the ideal backdrop for our anniversary celebration. Our first disappointment was reviewing the menu. We were surprised and let down to find no dinner specials whatsoever offered that evening. This lack of any unique or rotating offerings made the menu options feel limited (3/5 Stars), which is particularly underwhelming when celebrating. The service, specifically regarding the beverage program, had a notable lapse. When I inquired about a cocktail recommendation, the wait staff member kindly informed me that she couldn't offer guidance as she abstained from alcohol. While we respect her personal choice, it was surprising that she didn't have an alternative way to offer advice, a knowledgeable colleague to consult. This left us to choose blindly, a significant service gap for a venue that is renowned as a cocktail destination. This made the cocktail service feel unhelpful (2/5 Stars). Crucially, we felt the entire experience was decidedly overpriced (2/5 Stars). Paying $18 for a single Old Fashioned felt excessive. When factoring in the limited food options, the unhelpful drink service, and the loud atmosphere, we ultimately felt the value proposition was poor for the cost.

The food was excellent and our server amazing! The Romano crusted chicken breast was so good! Atmosphere was lovely for a night out with friends, so enjoyed everything and highly recommend!

Uncharacteristically bad experience. Long wait for first drinks. We then sat with empty glasses for long periods of our 2 hour dinner. I ordered the burger. My wife had gnocchi. It took over an hour for the food to arrive. When it finally arrived, my burger was fried chicken. They quickly fired and comped the burger but my wife was almost finished when my meal arrived. Must have just been a bad night because service is usually great.

Our waitress Molly was wonderful. Usually not noisy but there was a couple at a table, the gentleman was holding a conversation with a couple of gentleman at the bar...loud. It would have been polite if the gentleman would have gone to the bar first their conversation.

I went with a group of work colleagues. I travel as a consultant and I was embarrassed by hidden fees that were added on to the bill above the menu prices! The service was very poor combined with a rude attitude! I travel around the country and the prices were far above either Chicago, San Francisco or Washington DC which was surprising! Very disappointed! Many better options available in the beautiful city of Little Rock Arkansas!

My friend treated me to a birthday lunch at the Capital Hotel Bar and Grill. We were seated by the window with views of the trolleys rolling by and people on the street. We indulged in the daily Blue Plate Special and on Tuesdays, it’s Chicken Fried Steak with creamy mashed potatoes covered in gravy, accompanied by bacon braised green beans. It was divine!! My birthday dessert was a chocolate pecan “pie” with fresh whipped crème. Decadent and Delicious!! Our server, Alex, was spot on with the service, as well as quite charming. It was a fabulous dining experience and we look forward to returning.

Capital Bar and Grill. It's not bad. I do enjoy the atmosphere of this restaurant. It is very nice. Very elegant and a very nice place to whine and dine. I like the size. It's not too big and it's not too small. Perfect for a date night. However, the menu. The menu should be more extensive and unique and it's offering. The items on the menu are not that exciting to me. The cooks however, seems to be very well disciplined in their culinary skills. For example, I don't like lamb. No matter how many times I try it. I just can't get past the wild game taste. It's very distinct to my palate. With that being said, the shelf did an amazing job on the braze lamb shanks. Very minimal on the taste of game or wild that you find in lamb. But it was cooked to perfection. Very moist, very tender, very juicy. Paired with the mashed potatoes and vegetables. And the sauce that they added to it was fantastic. Again, I do not like lamb but the portion the price very reasonable and also worth it. Now the dessert. I ordered two banana puddings and only received one. Yikes! Now with the banana pudding I would add as a suggestion. Provide more wafer cookies. Two is simply not enough for a banana pudding as richich as this banana pudding is. But overall I would do Capital Bar and Grill again. It is a very nice establishment. The atmosphere. The whole decor of this restaurant is very nice.

I was craving shrimp and grits, and TripAdvisor reviews lead us here. This restaurant/bar is located on the first floor of an older classy hotel. We were seated right away and the staff was really nice and accommodating. The cocktails were delicious. We ordered shrimp and grits and the mushroom gnocchi w/chicken. Both were full of flavor and perfectly seasoned. We will definitely be back.
