I was a little disappointed. I wanted a steak. I was alone. I did not realize that I would need to buy 3.5 lbs of steak. I ate 1 lb cooked and then, took it home. The one to be brought to me was supposed to be Medium Rare. It was more medium. The one to go home was to be Rare. It was very good though. It was Medium Rare once I got it. But, the amount of 3.5 lbs seemed off. My roommate said there was no way there was 2.5 lbs of steak in the container. Anyway, the steak was $27 a pound and 3.5 lbs was required. I really wanted a steak, so I went ahead and ordered it. I planned to eat the rest later with my roommate. There was not enough for us both to have a good portion of steak. I am unsure if they were weighing the sirloin with bone in or what happened to the scales. The salad only comes with one kind of dressing. It is olive oil and some other spices. It wasn't terrible.

It was our first time at Doe's and the food, service, atmosphere was fantastic. Never shared a steak before, it was a huge 2 1/2 lb Tbone, with fries, salad, boiled potatoes, texas toast! Very delicious, hand cut fries!! Now to try there lunch burgers!

Quaint eatery. Seat yourself. I had the tamales and chili. My colleague had the hamburger. I am told they are famous for their steaks…sold by the pound…perhaps next time… The chili was tepid…I would have preferred it hot. The tamales 🫔 were good…traditional Mexican tamale. I ordered the chocolate cake…but I was informed the last piece had been reserved for the guy who almost drowned and survived a plane crash…!” So how can you argue with that🤷🏻♂️

Stayed overnight in Little Rock on a road trip & came across Doe's Eat Place searching for a bite to eat. Reviews seemed good & we decided to check it out. Was not disappointed at all. Ordered a 2.5 lb T-bone cooked medium rare. This was served family style with fries, butter potatoes, a salad & toast. Steak was cooked perfectly & had great flavor. Rubbed the fries in the steak drippings & that was next level. Cool low key atmosphere too & our waitress, Rikki, was awesome. Drank some local Lost 40 Honey Bock, which was impressive. A minor disappointment was that they were out of the porterhouse steaks that night. Highly recommend eating here when in town.
