I was a little disappointed. I wanted a steak. I was alone. I did not realize that I would need to buy 3.5 lbs of steak. I ate 1 lb cooked and then, took it home. The one to be brought to me was supposed to be Medium Rare. It was more medium. The one to go home was to be Rare. It was very good though. It was Medium Rare once I got it. But, the amount of 3.5 lbs seemed off. My roommate said there was no way there was 2.5 lbs of steak in the container. Anyway, the steak...

It was our first time at Doe's and the food, service, atmosphere was fantastic. Never shared a steak before, it was a huge 2 1/2 lb Tbone, with fries, salad, boiled potatoes, texas toast! Very delicious, hand cut fries!!
Now to try there lunch burgers!

Quaint eatery. Seat yourself. I had the tamales and chili. My colleague had the hamburger. I am told they are famous for their steaks…sold by the pound…perhaps next time…
The chili was tepid…I would have preferred it hot. The tamales 🫔 were good…traditional Mexican tamale.
I ordered the chocolate cake…but I was informed the last piece had been reserved for the guy who almost drowned and survived a plane crash…!” So how can you argue with that🤷🏻‍♂️
