The concept is excellent. The drinks are great if you haven't had a sweet/sour kool-aid taste in a while. Now, from these pictures, it looks amazing. The sauce on my chicken was so good 🤤 but the chicken was slightly undercooked. The fish was fishy. If it makes sense. I love fish, but if it's fishy, I can't stand the smell or taste. I would love to try it again, just to see if it may have been a busy day and the cook was tired or what, but I really want everyone...
The food was delicious and perfectly seasoned! There were great vibes and music. I got the Fat Wings and Fish. I am a Tatar sauce girl with my fish, so when I tell you the catfish didn’t need ANY sauce… ??? The yams were great and the cabbage was bomb too! Please know that they have limited hours of business, so make your plans accordingly! I’ll be back soon!
Omg! If you love delicious, hearty soul food then this is the place to go. I ordered the smothered pork chop special over mashed potatoes which came with 2 sides, cornbread and their special punch. You get great portions and to top out off, the service is great! The place is clean and they have even implemented a unique way to include a little of our African American history while you wait for your food. You've got to check it out to see what I mean. This place is a gem....
