Very good
The line moved fast. You order and the buzzer they give you goes off when it's ready. IWe ordered oysters, oyster po-boy and gumbo to go with our beers. It didn't take long after ordering for it to be ready. It was awesome!

One of our favorite places to get freshly prepared fish. They offer a wide selection. Always get a kick out of the wall decor.

If you like seafood then you won't be disappointed. Service was fast and it was a neat place to sit and eat. The Red Snapper we got didn't even fit on the plate !

The positive reviews & the convenient location within walking distance of our hotel during a Downtown Litte Rock stopover were motivation for my wife & me to try Flying Fish, and we weren't disappointed with our choice. The restaurant street entry door opens into a small front dining area with a nearly overwhelming (but entertaining to look at) fishing theme, with the order counter in the next space back plus a connected larger dining space. Orders are delivered to your table when ready. The daily special of Rainbow Trout Filet (one of our favorite fish) appealed to each of us, and we were both pleased with the size & the quality & the reduced price (mine served Almondine style for just $1 extra). I also ordered a cup of Crawfish Chowder, which had just the right level of spiciness to get my attention & generous portions of good ingredients. Overall we were very happy with our simple tasty meals, and we would return to Flying Fish-LR if we were in the Downtown area in the future.
The service was super slow. Only 1 register open. Waited a long time in line. Small portions. I had the Mahi Mahi, it was maybe 5 oz of fish. It was freezer burnt. 4 thin slices of zucchini, and 1/4cup of rice and 1/4 cup of beans. If the problem is cost, they should raise their prices and serve a more substantial plate. I was still hungry, so I ordered 2 catfish fillets, they took for ever, and it was also freezer burnt. I buy frozen fish all the time at home. There is no reason to get bad frozen fish anywhere in the country, nowadays. The beans were tasty and the veggies too, but over all very disappointing.

We had a great time dining at this historic spot in Little Rock! The ambiance was fantastic—you can really feel the history of the place, especially with its deep connection to fishing and local traditions. The decor and atmosphere made for a truly authentic experience. However, we were a bit disappointed by the seafood platter, which lacked some seasoning and flavor. That said, the prices were fair, and the overall experience was enjoyable. A great place to soak in the local culture!
The food is incredible make sure you get here early. The place has an only would fish house vibe. Reminds me of the places in Seattle when I live there. My family had the gator nuggets really good. Ousters they were small but inland like here in Arkansas is to be expected. The wife had Caddo it was incredible my favorite. The fish tocos are the best around. If you are in down town Little Rock this is a must stop on your visit.
Catfish, all the way!
Pricy but good. Super trendy well known local eatery. I got the lobster stew and it was tasty with nice chunks of actual lobster.
