Great little dive-like BBQ joint with great BBQ and delicious fried pies. Like 20 different flavors of fried pies! This hidden gem is just what you would hope to find and expect from a southern smoke house. Don’t miss this one!

We never got the chance to try it. We were told to sit down and then no one came for drinks or orders. All the locals around us were chatting up a storm and getting their own drinks, etc. but we received no instruction or attention at all. We finally left after about 8 minutes. They knew we were there because the whole place is about as big as my kitchen. I was excited to try the fried pie. Oh well

The BBQ sauce is very heavy on the vinegar. The only good thing I ate was the potato salad. Will not be my 2nd or 10th choice for BBQ!

My first time eating here was today, and when I say the ribs are sooooo good. I’ll definitely be back!!

I'm not sure where to start. First, I will say it's cash only so come prepared. Or do as we did, and go up to the gas station and use the ATM, worth it. Next. Let's start with the atmosphere. I feel like I just walked into my mom's kitchen and am treated like it, too. They are friendly, matter-of-fact, charismatic neighbors. The locals eating here were sociable and giving us a good conversation. A review from 2004 calls this place "the little place in the woods." And that is the perfect description. It is what some would call a "hole in the wall." It's what I call best damn BBQ I've ever had. I had the pulled pork sandwich. The bbq sauce is savory, sweet with a dash of a spice. The beans. I always wonder why beans are such a big deal. No longer. They were flavorful and delicious! The coleslaw was better than my grandmother's recipe. And now we get to the fried pie. Oh my. I had an out of the world experience. We shared one piece then procedes to order 2 more. The dough was fluffy, flaky, crispy, and soft. All-in-one. We choice not to sprinkle with cinnamon sugar because I'm not a cinnamon person, but I think I would've been a changed woman. I can't wait to come back on a Tuesday for ribs!

From out of town and first time here. This place was excellent. The menu is small but what I had was great. A little different than what I'm used to but that's what BBQ is all about . That little twist that makes you different.I highly recommend this place , good food , reasonable price , little hole in the wall feel.
