So, this was my first-time visiting Heights Tacos and Tamale’s and we just happened to go visit them on a Taco Tuesday! We showed up around 11:30 and surprisingly it wasn’t crowded at all, but by the time we left the place was full. So little word of advice, you might want to get there a little early for lunch. The staff was very friendly and did a really good job at answering some of the questions that we had. And when the food arrived, I will admit I thought the portions were a little small, but do not let that deceive you! It is a LOT of food. I was stuffed. The chips they brought to the table were good and fresh, and I was not quite sure what seasoning they had on them, but they were not your typical tortilla chips. Our food was delicious, between the crunchy and soft tacos to the tamales to the black beans and rice, it was all very good and cooked to perfection. If you are looking for a great place to go for that Tex-Mex fix (or should I say Ark-Mex fix) this is definitely some place you need to try. You will not be disappointed.
Nice cozy little place. I had the nachos and the cheese dip is really similar to Mexico Chiquito. It was very good. There's not much parking space especially for a 1 ton dually truck. I would go back.

Food was good BUT charging $5 for a small salsa cup and not refilling it with plenty of chips left a lot to be desired. This was the first time our couple ate here and service was a little slow and hard to track down.

The best cheese dip in Little Rock. And never mind the margaritas and cheese enchiladas. Soooooo great! Make sure you stop by and have a drink at the bar or make it a fun evening with friends!

Great place, we just happened by it for lunch. My wife and I shared the 6 tamales, added the beef chili and the Chips with Trio Dip. The marmalade salsa was excellent. We had a margarita and a mojito to go with. Bustling place, lots of fun!

No wait for seating for late lunch. Clean, well lit and while it wasn't too busy the spacing of seating arrangements was enough that even at capacity conversation could be comfortably enjoyed. Tried 50/50 dip with queso and Hatch salsa, fried fish tacos and 1947 combo. Queso and salsa were an automatic hit. Fish tacos were crispy and flaky and delicious. The best part of the 1947 combo was the cheese enchilada but the smoky smashed beans were also tasty. The guacamole tasted fresh with the perfect amount of lime. While the tamale was good, the chili that covered it wasn't complimentary as it had a somewhat strong flavor that I dont normally associate with chili. The crispy ground beef taco was flavorful but not outstanding. The rice was also acceptable but nothing exceptional. Service was prompt and attentive. Good visit, looking forward to trying other delicious items.
