I was actually surprised how the food was after being told it was a great spot for vegetarians. No disrespect to my elders, but after observation this place is for elders like a Cracker Barrel for those who like food with little to no taste. I was only disappointed because I drove so far and was hungry. The pics looked good online and other reviews were great so I was excited to arrive and no shade to the restaurant itself but flavorless food might be their thing idk, but when cheese is flavorless you know something is up. I ordered the vegetarian tamales and the Alfredo with the side rolls. First thing I tried was the rolls with the herb butter, rolls were ok but the herb butter didn’t taste like anything even herb, took a bite of the Alfredo the same flavorless ness I thought how can Alfredo not have a taste or even an after taste then I thought maybe I’m the problem or I have a disease where I can’t taste all of the sudden, but I tried the queso on my tamale and knew it wasn’t me. The queso is awesome and flavorful what I’m looking for I dumped it on my Alfredo and it made it amazing. Even the salsa was flavorless not sure if that’s just their thing but they don’t list anywhere that they are no salt or maybe I missed it. Won’t be coming back unfortunately but all I will recommend is the queso so you can taste something. Just from observation it seems like more of an elder dine in based off who was in there and the way the food and textures are which is why I mentioned Cracker Barrel it’s not a judgement it’s an observation just from seeing who’s eating. It is a great place to take grandma out for lunch everything was light but for $30 I am disappointed. 2 stars. Don’t be scared to use flavor you don’t have to use salt use lime or lemon SOMETHING. First time going this evening and it was fantastic! I got a lunch portion of the spaghetti and meat sauce and a basket of bread. The potato soup is amazing! My fiance got the alfredo which he loved! The thin mint girl scout shake was also really good! Amazing service and friendly staff, will definitely be back again :)
Izzy’s is a great restaurant. I have eaten there almost every week for years. The food is fresh and well prepared. I may like one thing better than another, but I feel all their food is quite good. The wait staff is great. Some have worked there for years. I had not had their spaghetti bolognese before but when I tried it, it has become a regular go to. I really like it. Izzy’s is not the fanciest place you can go to. But I think it is great. It feels like home to me. 4Certain Little Rock

Izzy’s is a timeless classic and a real treat when I return to Little Rock to visit. The food is always fresh, top-quality, perfectly prepared, and consistent across years. I’d been away a decade and returned there last Wednesday. I crave their Humus, and was not disappointed, the plate is a masterpiece! The hardest part is to decide between the many wonderful and unique dishes they offer, but I am never disappointed. Dessert is easier, for me, their lemon icebox pie is heavenly. Service matches their food quality. I wish there was an Izzy’s where I live now. Try it! You will not be disappointed.
