We love Kemuri in the Heights, but this is the second time we’ve been to the WLR location and it just isn’t the same. Our server was nice, and the food is good, but everything took sooo long, and there were very few occupied tables in the restaurant. We ordered the tuna tacos for an app - always tasty - and they came out 25 minutes after we ordered them. We then waited another almost 40 minutes on our food - 2 sushi rolls, bibimbap and fried rice. We weren’t in a hurry, but we just weren’t impressed with the speed of service, especially when compared with the price of our meal.

Not the same restaurant it was 12 months ago. Good food ruined by poor reservation management and unusually warm indoor temperatures. If they're going to make us wait 10-15 minutes longer for our reserved table because the kitchen is busy, they could at least make the wait comfortable.

Kemuri’s sushi is out of this world! But tonight I placed a to-go order for fried rice and came home to….this. It was literally just unseasoned white rice with hibachi vegetables on top. I know their fried rice isn’t their “feature item”, but it’s better to not offer that option than to sell this. Very disappointing to come home to. Order their sushi, NOT fried rice ? By the way, we spent $38 dollars on two orders of this rice.

I had a dinner party for customers and asked the server if they could pick a selection of sushi and appetizers for a party of 8. DO NOT ever do this. They will ROB you and oversell you food.
I feel like I was robbed. The waiter ordered just about everything on the menu. You know they’ve ordered too much when you require an entire second table just so you have a place to put your dishes.
The food kept coming and coming and coming and coming. I felt like the waiter took advantage of the ask and thought, this is my chance to get a big tip.
The wait staff was nice, but all of that nice went out the window with what they did. It was uncalled for and felt super unethical.
I’m not sure I’ll come back. At least not to this location. I felt like I was treated very wrongly there.

My only complaint is that the service was sloooooowwww. Our server was GOOD, the restaurant just appeared to be very short on staff that night. There were other diners but the restaurant wasn't packed or anything and we were there for a solid two hours (party of two). I'm going to give them the benefit of the doubt as I honestly believe that it was just an off night, because the food was VERY good.
