La Frontera Mexican Grill

My family and I went to go eat at this restaurant. A gentleman with a bad eye that was working there and was at the area by the front door when we entered. He gestured me to hold on while he went to wake up the young lady that was sitting asleep behind the counter. She sat us a booth and when we sat down, we noticed how dirty the table was. So we quickly google the rating for this restaurant. They had a 3.8.Star rating. We decided not to eat there so we got up and was leaving when I noticed from the inside of the window looking at my car that was parked in front of the restaurant door, that the gentleman with the bad eye was standing at the passenger front door and was trying to open the door to my car. If we didn’t decide to leave, I would’ve never seen him try to break into my car. He figured we were already seated and wouldn’t know. I immediately went out to ask him why he was trying to open my door. He replied no no no and walked away.Very suspicious and would not trust the people or establishment. Be warned all. Concerned customer.

For those who dont know ill put yall onto game. The place is cool. Kind of Like the hispanic Twin Peaks Lol. There is good atmosphere if you enjoy the Hispanic atmosphere. They play good music or you can also ask for a song. Ive had a variety of dishes here. What i ordered in the picture were the “Gorditas” . Basically a thick tortilla split in the middle to be stuffed with your choice of Meat and with cheese inside. I ordered One with “Carne Asada” Which is Steak. The other one was “Al pastor” Marinated pork with pineapple. The Gordita de Al Pastor was the more tastier one in my opinion. I also ordered a Michelada de Corona. Which is i believe a mexican bloody mary. That is my go to drink. Over All the food is Decent depending what you get . For my guys its a must. Come check out the spot if you catching on😉.

30 minutes after eating here, me and my sister got so sick. Worst cramps of my life, nausea, hot flashes. Assuming bad meat. Never eating here again. Service also sucks, restaurant completely empty and no one even acknowledge you when you come in.

Best place EVER: I have come here since I was a Shorty growing up in SouthWest in a blended family. Great food. Great staff. We ALWAYS meet at La Frontera whenever I make it back in town 🤙🏼

Amazing food would definitely come back loved the food and service was astonishing the cheeseburger definitely slayed and the chips and salsa was very rizzy

One of my favorite places. Pupusas are enormous. Sopes de chicharon are crispy and delicious. The pollo relleno (stuffed chicke breast) is probably one of the best entreas in the city.
You normally have to ask for the check but that’s probably cultural and expected if you want something really authentic

I just arrived with some friends and they made us come in, they gave us the menu but no one gave us terrible service because I took a friend from abroad, what a shame to arrive at a place where they don't serve you as if one is not going to consume terrible service.

I enjoy this restaurant. Good food, good vibes besides being ignored. I give them one star because. As a brown/black person of color, I feel they ignore us because we are not Hispanic. I don't like that. Everytime I come most of the women waitresses ignore us. I'm sure its because some don't speak English, but the ones that do, act as if they don't see us come in. They walk past us & we have to stop someone to take our order. Never fails. Not good hospitality or good customer service.

One of the waitresses there was totally disrespectful and rude, making faces when I was ordering food with my family.

Food is always great. Slow to get drinks and once served food they forget about you. Order two beers at once is the best idea..
