This place is highly recommended. The food is great nice workers and the environment has a wonderful vibe. Ken is such a great person that has a motivational story of how his vision began & how he got to this location. Stop by sometime & I guarantee you will be blessed. Not only do they have great food but they also offer space for banquet events & a patio area to enjoy the weather. All the food is freshly cooked

We received a menu from the owner yesterday so decided to give it a try. Just wow! The portions are perfect and the food is fresh and taste just like grandma would cook. The fried green tomatoes are the best I've ever had. The Pork Chop and Fried chicken was cooked perfect and so juicy an flavorful. 3 of us ordered and we were all very impressed. We will most definitely be back.

Green beans were incredibly salty, the mashed potatoes were instant mashed potatoes with a sprinkle of salt and tons of dried parsley flakes. The baked chicken smelled Asian but looked like day old buffet chicken. Completely flavorless and dry and at 16$ a plate absolutely not. Go back and visit the south because this ain't it.

Tried Soul Food today for lunch. Wow!! Amazing... Wish I found this restaurant sooner! Had the fried chicken, cabbage and okra. Delicious! Owner was so friendly, food was perfect - everything is cooked fresh to order. Will definitely be back!

This place is so so so good. The lemonade is to die for. EVERYHING is homemade and that Mac and cheese mmmm and the barbecue fried chicken. Great atmosphere and food and it's just amazing honestly.
First time here and it's amazing! Dont expect it to be super quick, but that just means its fresh! Some of the best greens and fried green tomatoes Ive ever had. My husbands fried chicken was outstanding as well. Will definitely be back!

I love the food and the atmosphere at La'Kens. The owner is so sweet and caring. You may have to wait a little bit for your food b cause it's cooked to order but it's well worth the wait. Give it a chance.

Finally got around to trying Lakens today and I hate that I waited so long. Some of the best food around. The best part is the hospitality. We spent about an hour (in between orders) talking with the owner Kennedy. We had one order of fried chicken, sweet potatoes and greens. The second order was pork chop, fried okra and mashed potatoes. We also had banana pudding and he brought out a sample of the cobbler. All the food was excellent. Will definitely be back and highly recommend! If you are in Cabot, get out and support this small business and let's keep them around.
