I'm from Lousiana and it is hard to find really good cajun food or anything close to it. One thing we had not found was great poboys until now. The bread is very good and makes it a poboy. I had the fried oyster poboy and it was the most cleanest tasting and well seasoned oyster poboy I've had in years including some places in South Louisiana. The lettuce is finly shredded and makes it easier to eat without making a complete mess. The fries were very good as well. We had a large group of 6 during lunch rush and it took a few minutes to get the orders out but well worth it. Everyone in our group including 4 others from Lousiana all had no complaints and only praise. You order at the counter next to the kitchen and take a seat while it's being prepared. We just moved our office nearby and we will definitely be back again to try some more dishes.Parking: Large shared parking for shopping center but even during lunch rush there are spots opening up. You just may have to walk a few rows to get to the door.
It's a great place to get fish. Tuna turned so well. Not everything is perfect, but if you look for a spot with spirit, you're in the right place.

I made 2 visits to this place. The first dinner consisted of lemon pepper (or garlic parmesan, I'm not 100% sure) wings, fries and a cup of gumbo. The gumbo was decent and the fries were pretty good. The wings were just ok though. They were cooked well but a bit lacking in flavor.The 2nd dinner was a cheeseburger and fries with a cup of red beans & rice with sausage. The fries again were really good and the burger, while slightly overcooked, was quite tasty too. The red beans dish was excellent. Probably the best I've had in a long time.Their prices are about average so I'll probably come back and try some other dishes.

Look at the picture. This cup of soup cost $8.43. The cashier reacted in rude manner over a $1 tip for take-out. It's a fair tip for the total price and take-out.I had better service at Faded Rose. Maddie's place, Boudreaux, and Cheers are also known alternatives in the LR/Maumelle area.
Counter serve, but oh so good! I had grilled tuna, hubby had fish and shrimp. We shared the boudin balls. Everything was cook and seasoned to perfection and the portions were huge. Will be back!

I went to Lazy Pete’s for the first time today for lunch. I ordered the 2 piece fish dinner and substituted beans for cole slaw to-go. When I got home and looked at my food, I was taken aback because I didn’t have 2 fillets, I had 1 filet cut in half and called a 2 piece. So here I am a grown woman with a “1 piece” fish dinner. I decided to let that go because it may taste good. It was average at best. My biggest issue were the fries which tasted gritty. That let me know they did not wash their potatoes properly before they cooked them. The beans were regular also. Overall, it was not a pleasant experience. It’s one thing for a meal to be small for what I thought I was buying but issues with the cleanliness of the potatoes? There are a lot of restaurants around the bowman area who offer a better fish dinner. I really wanted to try the chicken but I ultimately decided to try the fish. Maybe I made a bad decision, maybe they were overwhelmed and this was not the norm but I don’t plan to go back.
