Look, I love this donut shop. The donuts are fresh, the place is clean, the vibes are right—but whoever is running the maple bar operation clearly has trust issues.

They never put out more than two maple bars at a time. Ever. You want to get a dozen maple bars for a party? Good luck. You want to grab more than two because you're just a regular person who loves maple? Sorry, not allowed. It's like they're rationing out maple like it's post-apocalyptic currency.

It’s obviously a ploy to keep people from buying more than two—why? Are they afraid someone might actually enjoy them in bulk? It's a donut shop. Let people buy the donuts they want. This whole artificial scarcity thing is ridiculous and honestly kind of insulting. I shouldn’t have to feel like I’m doing a black market deal every time I ask for a third maple.

Please—if you’re listening—let the people have their maple bars. You're not running a museum. You're selling donuts.

Edit:
In response to Leon’s, I am a regular customer. I come there multiple times a week. I’ve also tested my theory but go ahead and make it seem like out of ALL the donuts in your shop, the maple bars aren’t liked, which is why there’s only 2 available at any given time. I didn’t even mention that my dozen, which is literally the same each time, is always rung up at different prices depending on who’s at the register.

Donuts and pastries are an occasional treat for me. This morning I got a cinnamon roll from Leon’s- so delicious! Leon’s will be my stop for these treats!

Came in and asked for a long John with custard. I don't know what she filled it with, but if it was custard, it had gone bad. Never again.

The best donuts in town with good, friendly service. They’ve always had a wide variety of donuts when I come in and offer me a lovely selection. I’m a teacher and am guilty of stopping and making large, last minute orders for my class/students and never once have they made me feel like an inconvenience to accommodate a large, last minute order with variety AND kindness. I appreciate that and one of the main reasons I enjoy returning to their business. They offer basic coffee and refrigerated milk products to go along with your donuts. Most days, there is even a fresh fruit option on the counter!

Extremely overpriced with very little options other than glazed. 20 bucks for a dozen donuts!? Save your money and get them cheaper at Casey's down the street. At least there you have a variety to choose from.
