The food is some of the worst I have ever eaten. Both me and my partner left it uneaten and went somewhere else to fill up. Go to waffle house if you want better. And $18 for a waffle square and 4 tiny frozen wings is ridiculous. And $10 a for a side loaded fries? The place is beautiful. The food not so much

probably one of the worst waffles ive ever had... me and my friend from out of town tried out this place because it looked good. the food came out very fast, but the waffles were very hard and tasted a bit... floury? not very good. we ate as much of it as we could. the chicken was good though. don't think we would come back. it was a little pricey too!

The food is amazing!!! I was able to get my food fairly quickly. I will come again. I would say the restaurant needs to work on ventilation. It was a bit smokey inside.

I ordered the garlic parmesan wings & waffle, the chicken was delicious, however the waffle was as hard as the table I am sitting.. Also, the attitude of the staff was very much distasteful! From the cashier, to the young waitress to the owner, himself. I most definitely will not give my money to this so called “eatery” again.

Edit: Notice how in this establishments comment the rudeness & inedible waffle was not mentioned.. Shows no gratitude toward paying customers, only shows the attitude that is mentioned in the initial post. I am very much blessed; dont know if I can say the same. Hope y’all have the days you deserve!

The food taste was mediocre and the portion was small. It wasn't worth the price.

My only negative comment is we couldn’t do the mimosa flights until after 1030am. A heads up would’ve been nice.

I can't rave enough about The Spot! This place is absolutely amazing. The food is just super, super, super delicious—every single dish I've tried has been spot on (see what I did there?). The customer service is just as incredible—they never miss a beat and always make you feel right at home. Honestly, it's hands-down the best little food spot in SoMa. If you're in the neighborhood, do yourself a favor and check it out. You won't be disappointed!

If you’re looking for an outstanding dining experience in Little Rock, look no further than The Spot SoMa. This Black-owned gem in the heart of the SoMa district offers a five-star experience from start to finish. The owner personally greeted us, took time to serve us and even let us sample different dishes—talk about hospitality!

The vibe? Impeccable. Great music, an inviting atmosphere, and an energy that makes you feel part of something special. Every bite of food was flavorful and memorable—no filler, just thoughtful dishes made with care. Even better, the owner showed up in the mix, making sure everything was perfect and that we felt truly welcomed.

If you want to support a local business, immerse yourself in a warm, intentional dining setting, and savor food that lives up to the hype—The Spot SoMa is the place. Highly recommend it for brunch, lunch, or any time you’re ready for something genuinely special.

We stopped in visiting before departing for our 4 hour drive home to Texas - the amount of flavor in this waffle, chef’s kiss! The chat we had before departing, we loved how personable this place is. Telling my Arkansas friends about it and I’ll be back when visiting.

First visit. The food was great, perfectly cooked as ordered. It took a while for food to arrive. Seating felt crowded even when several people left. Be aware that you are both charged a service fee and asked to tip.

Second visit. Salad and service was great.

Third visit. Owner's behavior

The owners of this place are the rudest, most unprofessional people I've ever met. It's insane to be so excited to try a new restaurant and be berated by the lady who appears to be an owner. She cursed under her breath, raised her voice at me on two different occasions. Turns out we dodged a bullet, when we got our refund since all the waffles are pre-cooked, which can only mean soggy waffles. Anyway, back to the review. The owner seems miserable, and like she hates that she works there. How could anyone just be so casually cruel to customers? I also think ordering and tipping before you get your food is on purpose because the experience is so poor.

We ended up going next door to the Root for a far better experience. Leaps and bounds different than the horrid, though limited time, we spent there.

Skip this place. Save your money. It's not with her mood.
