Stopped here last night while passing through on cross country trip. Had good reviews, close to freeway, and open till 9pm. Got the ribs for 2 and small potato salad for $23 before tip- I felt this was very reasonably priced for a nice meal for 2 moderate eaters (we didnt finish it). The ribs were amazing and thick and meaty and plentiful!! Great bark, deep flavors, every chew kind of brought out different flavors/textures, great sauce- nice balance of smoky/a little tangy/not too sweet. Hopefully we will go back home this way and get some more! And buy a bottle of their sauce! Friendly staff! I'm not a potato salad connoisseur, that was for spouse, but reminded me of my grandmas- potatoes nice and soft, some sweet relish, and creamy:) yum, definitely reccomend! Not very fancy, definitely a neighborhood favorite feel:) thank yall for the great meal! Photo is ribs for 2, minus 3 well sized ribs.

They lolly gag in the back kitchen instead of focusing on getting the orders out quicker, the orders are filled correctly.

It was a welcoming kind of atmosphere. The counter staff were kind and courteous. Service was great and my rib tips were excellent ‼️ The price is normal 14 bucks and I ate twice from the one order.

Maybe I went on a bad day. We ordered several plates, but my plate had two different meats, but the meats weren't separated or labeled in any way. There wasn't a bathroom for paying customers, which I thought was strange for an eat-in restaurant.

The sims on Broadway is the most rude place I ever been. When taking your order or picking up and order they do not know how to talk to peoples

When I walked up to counter girl taking orders slammed her pin down in front of me while giving me a strange stare. I asked why you slammed your pin? She said I do it a lot..strange I thought. I proceeded to order beef barbecue sandwiches. The sandwich was smashed in. bread soggy.balled up wrapped in foil. I was bitting in a barbecue beef soggy ball of soggy bread. Back in the day bread would be flat.loaded with chopped beef and barbecue.with polite service. Service was iffy. Next time I will go to Hog Cafe on Cantrell!!

The ribs, potato salad, BBQ beans were outstanding. The ribs had just enough smoke in them...I do wish the sauce wasn't so watery, but it is good. Service...well... it's almost self service. Atmosphere is old school. Like the building was something else a long time ago.
Have you ever heard of a spot so good you go there regardless of the 10% chance you get shot outside? This is that place. Chopped beef was amazing. Cheaper than any other bbq you’ll find.
