I was very disappointed in this restaurant. It is most certainly NOT authentic Jamaican food. I am from Los Angeles & have had many Jamaican dishes, at restaurants & house parties.I had Oxtails, Rice & Peas & no, it definitely did not taste authentic. Plantains were not included with my meal, I was told that I had to pay extra. Since when? I've never had a Jamaican meal & Plantains were not included. They had no Ting, the lady told me that Kroger sells it. Seriously lady? Real Jamaican restaurants offer at least Ting & Ginger Beer.I asked the lady and the younger lady that was with her if they were from Jamaica, she said her husband is. Apparently most Arkansans do know what traditional Jamaican food tastes like& this is why they can get away with this foolishness. Needless to say, I will not be returning. This is definitely not 'a taste of Jamaica'

Very clean restaurant with friendly services. However the food didn’t give me “Jamaican.” The oxtails I had were smothered in homemade gravy. Fine if I wanted soul food but not for “Jamaican.” To bad I don’t know how to post the picture ?.

I drove about 45 minutes hoping for the full all out Jamaican vibe, however it is a mixed restaurant Soul/Jamaican. I went early and the restaurant was very clean. I had the oxtails with some sides. My sister very much enjoyed her food as well. The food was good and the people were kind. I dont eat soul food primarily because most of it is usually laced in pork or some sort of pork fat etc but I appreciate the fact that they use turkey in their sides. One plate will last me 2 days. I will go back. Thank you for the experience.

Ok. The j*** chicken...amazing. Had some heat but an amazing complex flavor. But, two stars taken off. We are in the middle of a pandemic and people are in the kitchen being careless about mask wearing. The one lovely woman preparing my plate had her mask below her chin while she was preparing my food and another person walked in the kitchen without a mask at all. The gentleman on the register wore a mask tho whole time. They're very polite and warm, but just need to be more mindful of handling food given the current pandemic. Excellent j*** chicken tho!

I’m sad Taste of Jamaica is no longer here. I visited this restaurant and the girl at the front counter was very rude. She told me it was no longer a Jamaican restaurant but she was not nice about it. Bc of her rude way of speaking I left and went to another restaurant.

Just had lunch there for the first and last time! Broccoli/Rice casserole was cold,Cabbage no seasoning andOxtails were very little for almost $15!!!!! When the lady was raising the Lids to show what they had the other food looked dried out!

I came at the end of the day.i had the oxtails and they were delicious and very tender. They didn't give me enough considering how small the oxtails were. I will definitely be back.

Tried to eat here Saturday, February 22 at noon and the doors were locked and shades down, signage everywhere, and their website says they are open. ‍
