The food is slapping. But any African restaurant connoisseur knows, you know the food is tier 1 when the server isn't very welcoming ( if there's one) resulting to an average of 3 stars on Google. They can never fire the dude/Lady because she/he helps out in the kitchen too. it might be also family. So don't really take that into consideration. Also when you know you're making gold, you can't just let it go easily! Anyways, Egwusi beef with fufú, ( get an additional fufú, trust me) is gonna make you wonder how they re selling it and not keeping it for themselves cause it's that good.

I wanted to try this place for myself inspite of the other reviews. I am glad I did! The food is amazing. I was greeted with a smile and asked to be seated until they could take my to go order. I had the egwusi soup and the garnished gizzards. They both were so good and the food was hot. I recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants authentic African food.

Made an order online. A friend went to pick it up and no one was there. No one answered the phone. The store was closed. Yet they posted to their social media that morning and ignored my comment asking why they were closed during Business hours and posted to social media afterwards still not responding to me. Now I have to wait 3-5 business days for my money back for a cancelled order.

Place is straight out of the 80s. You walk in to a plain white room with no attempt at being pleasant to look at. Three huge freezers with padlocks on them with soups pre cooked in them greet you at the register. The lady who took our order was in street clothes and came out of nowhere and just stared at us like we were in the wrong for entering the building. Made me change my food order because she doesn't serve rice dishes with the smashed yams.... Lady I am the one ordering here not you, so keep your personal preference to yourself. The only redeeming quality was the smashed yams were very tasty and reasonably priced.

This place is hands down the worst. Customer service is awful. I ordered the jerk chicken/ jollof rice, and two side orders of beans. The chicken was dry as hell and the beans were burnt tasting. I called the restaurant to let them know about my experience. I was told nobody else complained and that I just might not be use to their food. I explained that I have been to several African restaurants and have never tasted burnt beans. I’m never going back to this place. Service sucks, food sucks……….

Upon walking in I get a very uninviting look on the face of a lady who didn't even bother to greet us let alone talk to us, hand us a menu or even come to our table to take our order. When asked if we wanted to pay before our meal or after we said before and she just rolled her eyes at us like how dare us make her do her job all 30 seconds of ringing up a purchase! Picked out 4 different side dishes only to be told they didn't make any sides that day... The one side that they did have that we ordered we didn't even get with our order...The flavor of my food was okayBut the food was not fresh! Not even hot!! not even sure it was made that day and who the heck wants to eat cold leftover chicken wings?? I mean if I wanted leftovers for my birthday I would have just stayed home and found something in my fridge! Had to trade in our drink because almost all the pop in their cooler is old and flat!! To be honest I don't even know how the health department has allowed this company to stay open! I WILL DEFINITELY NOT BE RETURNING!!!

I have always wanted to try African food. Went there I guess my first sign should have been the sound of a microwave opening and shutting. I still spent $40, just to go in the trash. I will never go back.

So when I first came, I came I person. I can admit they helped me find what I wanted. But once I order on DoorDash it went left. They accepted my order, wasted my time, and wait till she got there and my DoorDasher had to tell me that they didn’t have it. That was very unprofessional of them to not contact anyone before and waste my time like that.

The Food is good but the staff is a bit rude and Incorrect Waiting Time are posted for online Order. Order was ready for pickup on the app and I drove all the way for the staff to tell me it’s not ready and now I am waiting for a while.

This was our first time visiting this establishment. This place needs a lesson or sensitivity training on customer service. I understand that not everyday is a good day, but when your serving the community I would expect some pleasantries. When we walked in no one greeted us so we pretty much have to seat ourselves. The ambiance was mediocre. The waitress/ owner (I asked if she was the owner) didn't greet us or offer water just ask dryly, " what would you like." The food was actually really good which would be the only reason I would patronize this business again.

Poor service, but great food, makes it a dilemma. Do I want the food bad enough to put up with the terrible service?
