I recently visited The Butcher Shop in Little Rock, Arkansas, and while I was excited, I left feeling disappointed. Especially given the steep $300 price tag. I had a reservation for 6 p.m., arrived early at 5:45, and was seated promptly. However, we didn’t receive our bread until 740 p.m., an hour after our food arrived. Our drink orders took more than 20 minutes to even be acknowledged, and there was only one offered refill by the time we were ready to leave. While the ambiance was fine, the food itself didn’t live up to the hype or the cost. The rolls were the highlight, but frankly, that’s not enough for a fine dining experience. I hope they step up their service, because the potential is there, but it just wasn’t worth it this time.

My wife and I came in Feb 13 for our valentines dinner. I ordered the 12oz ribeye. I tried to eat it but it was just way too tough so I motioned for our waitress ( slender woman with very long black hair) and told her about the steak. She readily takes it back and :15 minutes later brings out another ribeye and says to try it and make sure it’s okay. She stood there and watched me try to cut through a thick piece of gristle and o just said it’s fine. At this point I’m ready to just get it over with. I ate that steak. Full of gristle and nearly raw I ate it because I was very hungry. Everything else was great. Waitress went missing when it was time to bring our check. We had a 6:30 reservation and we were in the restaurant for nearly 2 hours. What happened to the butcher shop I grew up with?

Excellent steak cooked to requested temperature which many steak houses cant handle these days. Great portions and the crab cake was very good. We had a large group and the servers tended to us well. Would highly recommend

The wait was extremely long. Reservations at 6:00 p.m. Seated almost immediately. We didn't get to leave until 9:00 p.m. It was rediculous considering my husband's steak was tough as a boot and my scallops were really fishy smelling. We will be rethinking our choice of restaurants in the future. The waiter was excellent though. He felt bad we had to wait so long.
