Use to love this place and haven’t been in a while until today. They changed their noodles to spaghetti lnoodles. Does not taste the same. Super sad and will not be back.

Very disappointed. Sadly we won’t be back. They changed a bunch of things on the menu but hadn’t updated it. So when we ordered we had several questions since none of what we wanted was accurate on the menu. The cashier got annoyed over our questions and was short with us, as if we were wasting her time because we wanted to get our order right. My mom ordered the pan fried dumplings, they let us know they would take 20 minutes to make and would bring all our food out together. We waited 45 minutes for our food. Everything was underwhelming, the food used to be so much better. The pan fried dumplings were cold, extremely burnt and hard, completely inedible. The Saigon noodles, fried chicken, and steamed dumplings were totally bland. My salad came with chicken even though I didn’t ask for it but we were still charged for it. Even the sesame balls used to be better, they were much less sweet this time. We told them about the dumplings being burnt, they said they were sorry and they were just very busy. The restaurant was barely a third of the way full. They offered us no refund or resolution. We paid $156 for our meal for four people. It’s really unfortunate because we used to love eating here.

First time trying this tonight, and $50 wasted on the most bland food I’ve ever eaten. There are better noodle places in Little Rock. Literally tasted like just eating uncooked dough with no spice/flavor. I even doused mine in sriracha and still didn’t help. Noodles tasted like they came from a pre cooked package. Tofu was terrible. Will not be eating here again.

Bring back the old menu

Hate to do this — but it appears I am one of many customers complaining about the menu change and new price points.
I came here for lunch recently hoping to get my absolute favorite meal of gluten free noodles. I don’t live in LR, so when I do go there, this is what I want! I was told by the person taking my order over the phone that the entire menu had changed. I ended up getting a GF peanut noodle bowl + GF fried chicken which was a +2$ charge. I also got an order of sesame balls. My order was 26$….for ONE meal. I was actually floored. And honestly, I didn’t enjoy the new peanut noodle bowl at all. There wasn’t enough sauce and the GF fried chicken was dry. Such a disappointment for how much I paid. Sadly, unless they change the menu and prices, I won’t be returning. Also as someone who has to eat gluten free, this is a huge disappointment.

I liked the old menu better. Soup/broth was lukewarm. Chicken protein was cold (why serve cold chicken with warm noodles?)

I've been stopping here for a few years now, but they just discontinued their braised beef noodle soup, my favorite. For that reason I won't be coming much anymore.... Otherwise, love this place.

I was disappointed. 20 bucks bought a small bowl of spaghetti with a broth (almost no flavor). They sprinkled some whole peanuts on and the chicken was cold and came separately (almost like thick deli slices). You order at the counter and get your own Softdrinks. Service was quick and friendly.

I’m so sad they changed the menu—the dumplings just aren’t tasty any longer. Things were already heading downhill but recent menu changes sealed their fate for me. Now I have to get my dumpling and noodle fix when I go to Orlando. Also 5 pork dumplings with mediocre sauce and a yuzu iced tea was $18. Won’t be back.

I ordered the #1, which comes with noodles in broth, gyoza, and a protein of choice. I went with chicken across the board, hoping for a solid, balanced meal. Unfortunately, the execution left a lot to be desired.

The soup itself was mediocre at best, but what really made it unpleasant was that it was only lukewarm when it arrived. With dishes like this, temperature is everything, and instead of being warm and comforting, it just came across as flat and underwhelming. The gyoza ended up being the highlight, though even those were only “okay” — not particularly flavorful or memorable.

The biggest disappointment was the protein. The chicken that came with the dish was cold, and cold chicken simply isn’t palatable in this kind of meal. It felt careless, like no one bothered to check the temperature or presentation before sending it out.

The service was decent, and I didn’t have any issues with the staff directly. But when the food itself misses the mark in so many ways, it overshadows any positives. For the price, I was expecting a much better experience. Unfortunately, I can’t see myself coming back.

Small menu means everything is perfected and delicious. Fast, fresh, and fair priced.

Edit September 2025: lowering my original review from 5 stars to 2. I'm not sure how they managed to change their menu and make it both more expensive with much worse tasting options, but they definitely succeeded. Long gone are the days of delicious dumplings and in their place are cheap-tasting, over priced items. Congrats. You played yourself.

The food just isn’t as good since the menu changed. I’ve been coming to Three Fold pretty consistently for over 5 years and now I've removed it from my list. It’s heartbreaking.

So maybe I went in with too high of expectations and it is definitely a cool hip place to eat, and I LOVE that it was an open kitchen, but from what I had heard of this place, I was expecting some truly transcendent Asian food.
We got some very serviceable fair.
I mean it wasn't BAD, The bamboo steamers baó came in was pretty cool, I just can't see my self paying $15 for two steam buns of this caliber ever again. If these had cost maybe half the price or even a little bit more, I would probably be feeling much differently about them.
The pork belly baó was okay, The roasted peanuts were an interesting choice to pair with it, it definitely could have used some more sauce, they could have leaned into the peanut side and went some sort of fiery peanut sauce, which would have paired nicely with the steamed bun and the crisp green onion that they took the effort to cut Asian style on a angle. My personal preference would have been to lean more Korean with spicy garlic crisp, ginger and hoisin. Also larger pieces of pork belly instead of the small cubed bits. Which I understand is definitely easier to deal with, but a larger piece/ pieces cooked properly shows off the skill of the kitchen, as well as being much more dramatic.
*Shrugs*
The chicken was the better of the two for sure, but there were no standout flavors, Just some sweet chili aioli that wasn't quite potent enough to stand on its own. Although the larger piece of chicken WAS tender and not dried out. So points for that.

I don't know, the place is cool, I just can't see going back and playing the $$$ *shrugs* maybe I caught them on a bad day.

Three Fold was a staple in our household for year until the recent menu change. The new noodles are bland and gooey, and the scallion chicken is not good. The pork potstickers are still good. Total travesty that the comfort staples that every one loves are not still on the menu.

Today was my third attempt with the new menu, and I am done. The only things I will come here for are the few things like the sesame balls that haven’t been altered from the old menu. I cannot imagine how Threefold can continue to go on like this after burning all of us customers like this. I keep coming back missing the old menu, and then reality hits that they’ve ruined it.
