Growing up in Malvern, I have high standards for what real Southern catfish should taste like. Now that I live in Colorado, I’ve realized that finding good catfish near Denver is nearly impossible—nothing quite hits the mark.
Coming home for Christmas this year, Fish Man's LLC was exactly what I needed. After a grueling 15-hour drive, having a meal this good was the ultimate reward. The fish was fresh, perfectly seasoned, and fried to that ideal golden crisp without being greasy. It’s easily some of the best I’ve had in years.
It’s rare to find a place that justifies a 1,000-mile trip, but this is it. If you’re in the area (or even if you’re just passing through Arkansas), do yourself a favor and stop here. I’d make the drive all over again just for another plate!

We tried the 4-piece catfish and 6-piece shrimp meal with fried okra and mashed potatoes — everything was so yummy! The catfish fillets were a great size and perfectly cooked and great price. We usually drive to Hot Springs for good catfish, but not anymore! So glad to have found this spot right here in town. Highly recommend!

We each got the 2 piece fish with 6 shrimp and hush puppies. My fiance got coleslaw and I got fries for the sides. Everything was cooked to perfection! It was reasonably priced and we got more than enough. The fish fillets were huge and the breading on the shrimp has a nice spice to it. We will definitely be returning and will tell everyone about this place! Thank you for the amazing experience!

Food truck with fried fish, shrimp, and more. I got the 2pc fish with 5 shrimp. It was all fully breaded, crispy, and hot/fresh. The coleslaw was very good too. Nothing over seasoned or dry. I’m impressed 🙂

Absolutely delicious! You won’t find bigger fish fillets anywhere else! I really overdid it getting the 4pc but in my defense I had no idea I was dealing with the biggest fillets I’ve ever seen! The loaded potato was absolutely amazing! I will 100% be back and will be telling everyone I know about Fish Man’s! Another local business for the win!
The owner Tracy is very friendly and conversational, and the food is on point. It may not be the healthiest but it's mainly supposed to taste good. Prices are reasonable and service is prompt. Try it!
