Sam’s Southern eatery

On 12/10/2025 placed a fish plate order for me and another co worker. Got the food and as we were breaking the fish apart we notice some pink areas in the fish. Took the food back after work and went in just as calm to tell the younger guy I’m guessing he is a manager about the food. He took it to the back to look at it and came back out and his whole demeanor changed like we had did something wrong. He got smart mouthed and said the fish was cooked, I will refund the money and Merry Christmas. That is not a way to conduct a mistake but trust me I will not spend my money here AGAIN!

Stopping by Sam's Southern Eatery in Malvern was a winning decision.
The Catfish was the undisputed star of the show: flaky and moist on the inside, encased in a light, perfectly crispy cornmeal crust. Following close behind, the Shrimp were plump, juicy, and fried to a golden brown—absolutely top-tier seafood.
For the poultry section, the kitchen showed their Southern mastery. The Chicken Wings were succulent and beautifully seasoned, and the Gizzards were exactly how they should be: tender inside with that classic, savory crunch.
The sides rounded out the plate perfectly. The Fries were hot, crisp, and a great pairing for everything, and the accompanying slice of bread was ideal for soaking up any leftover flavor.
If you're looking for genuine, generous, and expertly-prepared fried Southern food in Malvern, Sam's Southern Eatery is the champion. They crushed this order!

Tonight was our first time, and it will definitely not be our last. We are a family of 4, and all chose something different so we could try a little bit of everything. And NOTHING let us down. Food was fantastic. Staff was very friendly and professional. Food came out hot and ready much faster than expected considering the amount of people in the restaurant.

I got the 12 piece shrimp. The shrimp batter tasted like plain all purpose flour with no seasoning. The roll tasted like the frozen rolls you just heat up that don't rise. The beans and rice were dry and not very tasty. Three stars only because the shrimp were large. Meal total was $17.75 after taxes.

Food was delicious!!! I called in an order, it was ready when I got there. The person at the drive thru was nice and funny. We got shrimp, fish, fries, coleslaw, and red beans and rice. It was really good. I've ate a lot of red beans and rice at alot of place, they were pretty tasty here. I was so happy we ate here

First time here. Got the #1 burger. Was very good and big! Fries were great too.

Yes, the food I good. Service, however, is awful. They do not treat their workers right. I order through the window and saw how a guy (the owner, I’m guessing) yelled, clapped at, and pulled on a workers hoodie that he was training. On another occurrence, they completely ignore us and didn’t take our order. If this got better, this place would be perfect.

Giving 5 stars just to hope Malvern gives them a decent chance to get things running! My husband said he waited longer than desired for his food, but the staff was working hard and very friendly and his food was up to par!

I was there a few days ago and food was good, but they barely had anything I wanted and they took too much time getting stuff out to me.
