Small town. Clean. Cozy seating. I was really happy to find this place. Home cooked meal. Still cheaper than McDonald's! I'll come here again next time. Try the good old fashioned biscuits and gravy for

The building does need updating. There is a strong musty odor when you walk in the door. It might not be regulated under AR or Fed law yet, but that doesn't make it any healthier for customers breathing that in. If you have asthma, emphysema or any other lung issues, steer clear of the building. On another note, the service isn't any better. I kept hearing, "we're really busy".was the excuse my food wasn't ready. Looking around, there was one table with a family seated another with 2 seated another with 3 and our table with 2. How is that busy? I worked that place when I was 19 (many many moons ago), just me and the cook. Busy was when it was standing room only, when people were waiting to sit down. We handled it! By the time I got my food, the eggs were cold. Oh and the salt and pepper shakers really need a cleaning. We won't be going back there.

The Marshall Restaurant is once again OPEN. The food is hot, the staff is friendly, and the 1960's-era vinyl booths are awesome.

The only good thing I can say is the waitress was excellent. Food is horrible, atmosphere is the same. If you want to immediately have to go to the bathroom after you eat their slop then this is the place for you.

For those who say Marshall Restaurant needs to be updated:This restaurant is not a tourist attraction. We visited it on an early Sunday morning. We watched the town's church people gather and laugh and pick on each other in their church attire. They talked across tables and drank their coffee and asked the waitress about her job search and seemed disappointed when they found out she had another job.I go into detail to say that nothing about Marshall restaurant needs to change. This is a glimpse into a world that almost doesn't exist anymore. This is a small town with what's clearly a type of community that 90% of its visitors will never truly know.If you visit Marshall Restaurant love it for what it is. And if you are intentionally looking for small town vibe or getaway I thoroughly suggest you visit on an early Sunday morning for breakfast.

We love breakfast. Stopped in here for eggs, bacon etc . I have never in my life had fried eggs that were literally swimming in grease. This place is a no for us. My husband ordered the special, it came out without the hash browns that were on the special. He was told he was supposed to say he wanted them?? Not our new breakfast place.
