Captain Express Hawaiian BBQ & Sushi

Delicious! We got the Godzilla roll that a previous reviewer suggested, the Monster roll, Bomba and Arkansas rolls, and fried rice. Every roll was unique and perfectly made (and fried). I like my sushi in a fried roll. It took 20 minutes, they appeared to be adhering to all safety guidelines. You have to try Captain Express, please don't let them close down amidst the 10+ mexican restaurants in town!! Next time, I'll go for the BBQ!

Just went to Captain Express for the first time and I found it to be excellent. I had the beef and chicken combo plate, egg rolls and gyoza, all VERY flavorable. All were excellent and the portions were substantial. Very good, highly recommend.

First time here, got the fried Godzilla sushi roll. It's huge, and it was cooked perfectly. Can't wait to try other items. Great quality for the price.

Bbq chicken and spare ribs were very delicious.

I had dinner for the first time and had the BBQ beef with fried rice and it was fantastic! I will definitely be back!

Great for something different!

I’ll start by saying we’re picky, because we usually cook at home and we cook well, but we really enjoyed everything we ordered.All the food was great, and the portions enormous. Not only does each plate come with a huge portion of rice(we got fried rice) and macaroni salad(the only thing we discarded without even tasting), but they also come with a large portion of stir fry veggies of mostly cabbage with a little broccoli and carrots (we’ll have fried rice and vegetables as leftovers for days!). We ordered a combination plate with mahi, shrimp, and spare rib, a BBQ chicken & BBQ beef plate, a fried shrimp plate, a garlic shrimp plate, a few sushi rolls, and a side of steamed broccoli for my broccoli loving toddler.Everything was delicious and exceeded my expectations. The only minor gripe I have is with the written/digital menus. I ordered the garlic shrimp for myself, which is under the “healthier plates” category on the menu. All the other options under that category are listed as grilled, so I would assume the garlic shrimp is also grilled, especially considering grilled/boiled/steamed are a “healthier” option than fried. To my surprise the garlic shrimp were battered and fried. It’s my own fault for assuming, but I wish the menu had said they were battered and fried. They were definitely delicious and I do recommend them, even over the regular fried shrimp plate, but they were just not what I was expecting. Next time I’ll see if I can order them grilled, or I would get the BBQ chicken/beef plate. Both were excellent and worth getting again.I also wished the menu had said vegetables came with the plates, as we had plenty of broccoli already for my daughter and didn’t need to order extra.Regardless of those two very minor written menu critiques, we’re very happy to have this option in Maumelle and I’m sure we’ll be frequent customers.

The portions are HUGE! The first time I ordered and they forgot a side item. The second time I ordered and mentioned it, they took care of it and gave me extra! Very friendly and quick.

The food is fantastic!! Be warned, the portion sizes are HUGE!!! My plate was at least 4 pounds in a styrofoam container!! Took a risk and it paid off!! Highly recommended!
