Staying for one night's rest, chow, and view. The restaurant is convenient and serves good meals. Service was friendly, place was clean, and the view was nice

Really great place for food if you wanted something to eat in the area. Service is a bit slow but the food makes up for it. They had a limited menu today and a buffet. You need some kind of membership (that's free at the hotel front desk) to order alcohol. Both the buffet and menu items were good. Peach cobbler is wonderful.

Waitstaff is friendly and kind. I had several meals here over a few days and had the same two servers who made me feel like family. The food is very good overall, but they do some things incredibly well. The chicken tenders are seasoned to perfect and hand breaded, the meatballs are hand made and soft and rich, the salads are fresh and crisp, the hand made chips are crunchy and delicious, the pancakes are huge and fluffy, and the amount of bacon you get in an order is crazy. I also had very good freshly made oatmeal, and the eggs are freshly made to order. I had a fantastic slice of chocolate pie as well. All portions are huge, so I was able to make a second meal out of a couple of my orders. One note - skip the mashed potatoes. That was the only thing I ordered that I did not like.
Parking: Parking is plentiful in an oval around the lodge. Handicap is available.
Kid-friendliness: Full kids menu with a ton of options.
Wheelchair accessibility: There is a ramp on both sides of the lodge.

My wife and I recently stayed in Mena Ark. for the night how every the restaurants seem to be closed on Monday and some also on Tuesday we decided to take the twenty minute trip to the lodge restaurant that is open 7days a week. We were not disappointed at all. The food was great and our server all so. What a view it was very clear. If we had known before we might have got a room there. The price was the same were we where paying in Mena.

Lori was an excellent host and server. The food was delicious and the homemade blueberry cobbler was absolutely amazing. The prices were quite reasonable too. We went in the evening on a Sunday.

We stopped by Sunday feeling excited about eating here. The only option was the buffet but I love buffets so that didn't matter to us. There weren't many food options but it looked good. The potatoes weren't cooked all the way, the broccoli rice was bland like it had no seasoning with just white rice and broccoli, and the price was outrageous. I don't mind paying a higher price for good food but if it isn't even seasoned or cooked through then 71 dollars for 2 adults and a toddler is ridiculous. We weren't the only people that had issues with it either. Others were complaining inside to the waiters and amongst themselves while still seated and customers we met outside complained about the food and the price. We had to stop to get food for our granddaughter afterwards cause she refused to eat any of it except the green beans and part of a roll. The dessert was delicious but that's way too pricey for the quality of the food. We didn't purchase everything we usually do in the gift shop due to the price and then seeing other reviews going back for months complaining about the same. It is difficult supporting a business that has been given several chances to fix their mistakes but continues to make them. I am very disappointed in the Arkansas state park management who makes the decisions for this establishment and honestly I feel like me and others who have been served overpriced undercooked food here deserve our money back. Shame on you!

This was our 4 th visit to the state park and lodge. When will they get a great chef again? Before the place was destroyed by fire the food was excellent. Now it continues to be very poor. They can't make mashed potatoes to save their lives! It's heavy and lumpy.. the same goes for most of the rest on the menu. We love the lodge and the views, but the food is 'terrible' . Lodge restaurant please get a decent chef.. or this will be our last visit.

Definitely outdated but it kinda has charm. Omar was an excellent waiter. He was handling a big party and still took great care of everyone else.
