Our experience was very sad today. We have been going to his restaurant on and off since we moved here 32 years ago. First off the hostess was pretty rude from the start, then we ended up waiting over an hour for our breakfast. That when it finally arrived the only thing that was warm was our eggs. Neither my wife or I finished our food. This all together made for a horrible experience. You think with being in business for 102 years they would have this figured out, I guess not. If it wasnt for a lack of quality restaurants in this town, I would not see them staying business. Which is sad this and chopping block are the worst mediocre food in town and not the cheapest either.

First thing CASH ONLY. There’s an ATM two blocks away so no biggie. This is a down home no frills kinda place. Service was a bit slow but only because they were packed. It was worth the wait as the breakfast was excellent. I had ham/cheese omelette/hash browns/biscuit and gravy. Great portions and inexpensive. Highly recommend.

Best place in town to eat any time. Other places come and go, but this is a real community center. I alway make this a priority anytime I'm in town. Only drawback is it is cash only, wish they would accept credit cards, even if they had to charge 3% more for the difference

My husband and I had breakfast here and they have phenomenal pancakes! The best pancakes I have had in years! If you are from a big city, then the prices here might shock you. We had pancakes and bacon, biscuits and gravy, 2 cups of coffee and a cup of tea for around $14 before gratuity. You cannot buy anything in a large city for $14, much less a real meal. I recommend stopping here for a wonderful breakfast!

Best little homestyle cafe around. Would eat there more often if they were open Tuesday and Wednesday and later in the day.
The Cafe was great. The lights with fans were cool. A local said they have been around for 75 years. Great value. Wonderful wait staff. Never had to ask for anything. Kept our drinks full.
