Always a great meal at the Skyline Café. Service is always wonderful and the portions are filling and the prices are beyond reasonable. If you’re looking for good, hearty, down home cooking, Skyline is the place to go.

Told the server I cannot have dairy, so no butter on my toast or hash browns please. About 30 minutes later the food arrived, and there was no distinguishing between the hash brown orders, so I asked which order was non dairy. A few minutes later a frazzled old woman came out and plopped a large container of Liquid Margarine on the table and said this is what the hash browns were cooked with. But she also said that butter was all over the grill all the time, and that it was impossible to prepare food there without it having some butter on it. So the I let her know that someone should have told me that when I said I cannot have dairy, and she acted like I was an idiot for not knowing this. She was very unpleasant so I told her I was done talking with her. So she stormed off in a huff. Thankfully that kept her from causing any more of a scene.

I'm thinking that fussy old woman must have been the owner because I don't think an employee would have been that rude. The servers were both friendly and well behaved.

Another thing... DON'T COME to this restaurant unless you have CASH. They are about 60 years behind the times and do NOT accept cards of any kind. We had the cash, just letting everybody know so you won't be unprepared.

We recommend AVOIDING this place, unless you have no dietary restrictions. Unpleasant dining experience.

Yummy yummy! I got the turkey bacon and Swiss sandwich and it was perfect! The portion size is right it tasted like a home-cooked meal but in the mountains! Lol the vibe was great. It felt like a little slice of heaven. Also shout out to Tanisha and Brittney . They gave us a good laugh and the service was impeccable. Highly recommend !

It’s been 10 years since we visited last time. Nothing has changed. Breakfast is good. Mine was barely warm. Now the decor and tables , etc is need of upgrade. Tears in chairs, tables chipped and even food on wall directly behind us. The bathrooms are the worse. Time for owners to remodel.

Awesome stop before we headed home on the Talimena Scenic Drive. Old school, home style diner. The place was busy and service was a little slower but it's a sleepy little town with all the charms!
The coffee was excellent. The food was good. The people were nice.
Don't forget! Cash only.

If you haven't stopped here while doing a Fall leaf trip, then you are definitely missing some good food! We had the chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes and salad bar. Each of us agreed it was the best we had ever had. Super tender and perfectly cooked crust! Plus it had the perfect crust to meat ratio. Mashed potatoes are real potatoes! The salad bar had many salad options that brought back memories. Definitely plan to eat here again! Cost was $10.99 for the meal. You can't beat that!

My husband and I visited skyline Café in Mena Arkansas yesterday and I had the burger with cheese and chips ($8.99)and he had the special which consisted of beans with ham fried potatoes, cornbread, and fried okra. The beans are good but the price was shocking! $17.99 for beans!!!! Make sure you ask the price of the specials before you order them!! JS

Food was excellent, service was a little slow though not an issue as they were crazy busy when we arrived around 9:00 AM on a Sunday. Severe letdown though was when wife went to restroom, it had black mold in it and kitchen appeared very unclean.
