I ordered the #1 which was a double bacon cheese deluxe meal, my boyfriend ordered a #3 which is a double backyard bacon ranch meal. The cashier decided to ring us up for two #1’s, one triple and one double. After getting home we realized our food order was wrong. No one else was in the lobby or drive thru during our visit so I don’t understand how she got it wrong. Also, the food she charged us for cost more than what we wanted. After a phone call where we were assured it would be taken care of he had to drive back up there. He returned the food. Yes, the food was replaced but he had to request fresh fries or else they wouldn’t have been given and the cashier had a very lackadaisical attitude about it. She did not offer an apology or to refund the difference of the meals. The food was actually good but the service left much to be desired.

The Dairy Queen in Monticello has very friendly and efficient workers. The chicken strips were hot and delicious. The blizzards were made perfectly. It's nice to be waited on by a smiling worker who takes care of each customer.

Tried to order in the drive thru and the lady couldn’t hear me and so I spoke a little louder and she said “don’t yell at me” very rude might I add. If you don’t want to work in customer service don’t, but don’t be rude to people when they are simply trying to speak louder so the order can be taken.

Never been a fan of DQ food…but being that there are very few places for a quick dessert in Monticello, we stop by every so often for ice cream.

Service is typically pretty quick and the staff are friendly. My biggest problem with this location is they skimp on their product. On more than occasion, we’ve gotten Blizzards like pictured. If I’m paying nearly $5 for even a mini-sized Blizzard, at least fill the cup.
