We had the pleasure to stay at Mt.Ida for 4 days and every single day we stayed there we had Bamboo Palace for dinner. We were all so grateful to have found a delicious place to eat during our stay. We tried different dishes and we were all extremely satisfied with how delicious every plate was. The young lady and her coworkers there were always nice and helpful. I wish I could give this place 10 stars.
Probably more like 4.5 - 4.75 starsWe dropped in here feeling kind of skeptical...."How good could Chinese food be in Mt Ida Arkansas," and "a place that does Chinese and Mexican? Yeah, right"Our skepticism was increased by the ambience of the place - dimly lit, cheap furniture, old drop ceilings, not very impressive. We didn't expect much.....Well we were VERY pleasantly surprised!!!!!The Bamboo Palace had Really Good Food - both Chinese and Mexican!!!!!We started with the Tortilla Chips and salsa they brought to our table. The tortilla chips were quite good - thin and crisp. The salsa was a downer though - really bland. Then the Eggrolls - which Donna ordered with her Chinese meal. They were outstanding!!!!! Crispy but not overfried, fresh tasty veggies inside.Amongst the best we've ever had! Then they brought my tamale.....Again just Outstanding!!!!!Donna ordered General Tso's Chicken. A Huge portion.... Very, very tasty! Fried to just about perfection, sauce not too sweet with a good (but overwhelming) amount of spicy heat to balance it.Accompanied by a huge portion of fried rice.I ordered a Chicken Burrito. It too was Huge. Filled with freshly cooked white meat chicken and cheese and covered with a delicious white sauce. Accompanied with massive portions of refried beans and rice - both very very good as well!!!!We could each only eat half our meals, and even then got really full (overfull actually)!!!!!Very very reasonable prices!SO..... Yes, you can get Really Good Chinese Food in Mt Ida, and, you can get Really Good Mexican Food in Mt Ida,andYou can get them BOTH at the same place.....The Bamboo Palace!!!Definitely Highly Recommend!!!!!!
The food is great and the owner is so nice. It's a 40 min drive for us but worth it every time!
Good food. Great price.
Such a random menu with Mexican and Chinese options but so fun because how often do you get both?! The spicy veggie lo mein is awesome. I don’t recommend the fresh veggie spring rolls…. They are a bit lacking.
Good food, great prices, friendly people.
We were in Mt Ida for a couples getaway and wanted to eat as “clean” and healthy as possible. We came to this place hoping for at least average, but got even better. Although the curb appeal is “eh” the food was so good and the two waitresses were friendly and professional. My husband, who is very picky and was uncomfortable about eating chinese food in a small town(bad past experiences) was so surprised and said”Im suprisingly impressed!” So impressed we came back for dinner the next night, but for take out.
Chinese and Mexican food in one store. Both pretty tasty. But no cashew chicken.
Great service and great food. Really enjoyed the food.
I love the eclectic mix of food on the buffet. Ordering from the menu is not very expensive either. I have enjoyed every meal from them. I recommend without reservation.

Good food. Reasonable price
Waitress was very helpful. The food had great flavor and was good. The shrimp where a tad overcooked but not to much to mess anything up except small texture. Atmosphere was a little different. Overall I'd go back and enjoy the great garlic sause and try others as well.
Best orange chicken I’ve had in years outside of my kitchen. Service is very good, friendly and personable staff. Our waitress Cassie was very nice!A Nice Sunday trip up from Hot Springs, I’ll be coming back. ?
If you enjoy Chinese, Mexican, and American food then you’ll love Bamboo Palace. We went the Chinese food route and were very impressed. From very well made food, to good service, Bamboo Palace is a food stop you don’t want to miss.
I really love the food here it's so delicious and owner is great to get along with as well
