went last night for the first time. mojito was perfection! I had the pierogi and crawfish shareable as my meal..... my only complaint was I needed about a dozen more lol it was one of the best food items I've had at a local restaurant!!!! my boyfriend had the mahi mahi fish and chips which he really enjoyed! for sure will be back! the food and service were amazing!
I got the 8th Ward smash burger w/ grilled onions and it was amazing. My friend got the steak and it was pathetic. Not only was it more fries than steak but the steak itself wasn't great. Also $105 for 3 people is outrageous.

Cute place, but unfortunate fishy over-the-hill mussels were off putting and inedible.
My waitress was excellent she recommended a good drink and food. I was so satisfied with her recommendations.

8/25 - The the bartender in the selection and the brought options continues to impress me. Probably one of the best on this trip. (6/2025) update - food, service and reasonable prices continues to make this place good. (Previous review) Good spot for good food at reasonable prices. Drink menu is great! Plenty of options - the bartender & the service team are excellent. Kudos to the management for running a great operation. Will be back soon.

We stopped at Brood and Barley just before a show at Argenta Community Theater. My mother and her friend had come here once before and loved it, so they wanted to show it to me and my friend. We started off with the Shush Fires and the Crispy Blue Chips as an appetizer. I am not a big fan of blue cheese, so I stayed away from the chips, but the shush fries were pretty good. For entrees, we ordered their burger special(which I can't recall), the Argenta Cobb Salad, the Fish and Chips, and even though it is an appetizer, my mother's friend ordered the Shell Belly Sliders as her meal. First, the Argenta Cobb Salad. It's packed full to the brim, making it a very filling salad, but not heavy. It was still full of light ingredients, which made it enjoyable. The Fish and Chips were a little disappointing. I love fish and chips, and after having them here at Brood and Barley, I think I can confidently say that mahi mahi fish is not the best fish for fish and chips. It was entirely too thick of a fish, and did not have the right flakiness to be a good fish for fish and chips. The Shell Belly Sliders on the other hand, were phenomenal. I wish I had ordered it instead. Scallops and pork belly are such a great combo, it should be considered the next surf and turf. The next time I go here, that's what I am ordering.

Food is consistently delicious with a variety of unique options. Everything is made in-house and with love! Service is always warm and friendly. Today was my first time trying their pastrami stack and it was amazing!! Taylor (Bartender) shared that the process of making their pastrami takes them 8 days.

As visitors to the area we found Brood and Barley while reading reviews and we are so glad that we did!
The rif on a chicken Philly was one of the best sandwiches I've had in my entire life! Tender chicken with some spice, a blueberry compote, and fresh basil... sounds like a combo that might not work... it was amazing! I'm going to have to try to recreate this at home.
My husband enjoyed his pastrami sandwich too. The homemade chips were delish.... not greasy at all. The handcrafted cocktails were top notch!
All of this was served in a welcoming atmosphere with a great vibe... check out the salt & pepper shakers.. quirky fun! We'll be back before our trip is over!

Good food, however I didn't know I needed to be a millionaire to eat Scallops. Way overpriced for what you get.

Busy little gastro pub in the middle of NLR. Food was good, I got the Chicken Sammie and the sun kissed cocktail, which was really good. As well as a sweet tea that had a bad aftertaste. My husband got the burger of the month that had pork belly, beef patty, spiced greens and bok choy on it. He also got a beer that he enjoyed. Fries are a $2 up charge. Our server was nice and attentive.

This was the best experience of all Central AR for me and my party! WOW, I asked to see the chef, Kate is wonderful and Matt was our server he was top notch! My niece from Austin, TX wanted to try this spot and our whole party was so impressed. From the hibiscus drink to the stuffed olives! Happy palates, I’m a forever customer. I had the Orion Chicken and my husband got the Wild West Burger. Both were so good and full of flavor. I tried their Old Fashioned and it was made just right. Our waiter Drew was awesome and took great care of us. The food, drinks, and service were all amazing. We will definitely be going back
