I got the fish dinner lunch special. Absolutely amazing and delicious!! Crispy fresh fish, fries, hush puppies and drink. All for just around $10.

This is my first time going to sweet Papa‘s Café and I got a Patty melt that came with fries and a drink. I’m not supposed to be eating fries, but I ate the fries because they were so good. My patty melt was the bomb! I added mushrooms, but I don’t even think that would’ve even been necessary! The patty melt was so seasoned and so cheesy. It’s hard to find a good patty melt but I found one here! I will definitely be back. I would’ve took a picture of the whole meal, but I ate it🤣

I was very, very happy with my meal. Im a professional chef. The food i had was season perfect! I got up and found the person who cooked food. And told him that how enjoyed the food . Mike was his name. Great job!

Let me tell you this...this was the best Soul Food restaurant I have been to in N Little Rock/Rose City...the food was awesome the service was quick the people were friendly..will be going back again and again....get the turkey wings or the fried chicken with greens and yams....really you can't go wrong with anything you get

My food was horrible! On a Sunday I ordered the smothered oxtails with rice with a side of yams and macaroni and cheese. I get home to sit and enjoy my food and there is nothing but fat smothered in gravy. I barely had a whole oxtails. Just globs of fat. Luckily the sides were good. Wish I would’ve ate in to have this issue resolved but the place was packed. I was really looking forward to an amazing plate of food because of the other amazingly reviews. But instead got served a big plate of fat smh

I visited this local spot recently and was pleased with the food — everything was hot, fresh, and clearly made with quality ingredients. You can tell there’s care put into the cooking, and that definitely made the meal enjoyable.
That said, the customer service could use some improvement. When I walked in, there were about four people behind the counter, but I wasn’t really greeted or acknowledged in a welcoming way. It felt a little awkward, like no one was quite sure who should be helping. Some of the staff looked like teenagers, which makes me think it might be a family-run business — possibly younger family members helping out. If that’s the case, a bit more training in customer service and people skills could go a long way in creating a more inviting atmosphere.
Overall, the food was great, and I’d come back — but I hope to see a warmer, more welcoming environment next time. A simple greeting can make a big difference in encouraging customers to return.

Best food on the North Side and reasonable prices!!!

This place is top tier. I had the baked chicken lunch plate. Chicken was SO tender. Green beans were fire. Washed it down with red koolaid!
My friend had chopped pork bbq sandwich and loved it.
Will be going back!
