My kind of place, small cafe with some tables, carry out, busy. Hidden gem. Was on my way to a place called Winks Dairy Bar but this was closer, and was great

The smoked chicken is outstanding! We got this along with green beans, potatoes and caramel cake for a board meeting. Everyone loved it. We will be ordering again. Nice people, great service and outstanding food. Thank you Nicole Hart for introducing me to this place.

Line to order inside, but the trailer outside had no line. Had the smoked chicken meal with mac and cheese and double greens. Food was wonderful, and there was so much we have enough for a second meal.
Greens had some heat to them, and for us were a little salty. But otherwise they were delicious. The cornbread slab was light and tasty.
We were able to turn our 22-foot camper around in the grass behind the restaurant, and that’s where we ate.
Parking: We were able to turn our truck and 22-foot camper around in the grass lot to the rear of the restaurant. A larger rig might have difficulty.

Sweet Poppa's Cafe has the BEST FOOD & SERVICE around... Their chicken tenders are so plump, juicy & seasoned just right.... oh and their catfish dinners are mouth watering....I would give more than five stars if I could.... Absolutely, highly recommend...

Good food close to the road. It was easy to park with our trailer. They treated us very well and gave our daughter some sweets. They were patient with us with English and we felt at home!
