Whole Hog Cafe North Little Rock

Visited on 7/11/2026. First time here. Arrived as they opened, first ones in the door. Restaurant was clean, open and inviting. Staff was friendly and welcoming. I checked the board and ordered a brisket sandwich with potato salad and baked beans. My wife ordered the 2 meat plate, brisket and pulled pork. We got our drinks and sat down. Order was ready in less than 5 minutes. Initial impression, disappointment. Brisket was dry, barely warm to the touch and sliced thin, like deli roast beef. Compared to the amount on my wife's plate my sandwich was comprised of about two thirds of a normal portion of brisket. Also the brisket was not in clean slices, it looked raggedy. There was no bark really, not enough surface for bark to stick to, with each slice being 1/8 of an inch or thinner. In the end I wound up paying $25 bucks for a slightly dry deli sliced roast beef sandwich. I paid for hot fresh BBQ and got Arby's. To be fair the potato salad was excellent, best thing on the plate. I cannot recommend Whole Hog Cafe and will not go there again .

This place is an absolute dump. The service was super low quality, they charged 15$ for a scoop spatula and like 4 forks calling that the proper utensils for a family of 10-15 not to mention forgot the plates and rest of the forks. Did not send 1 sauce and we ordered about 2 pounds of chicken and 2 pounds of pork. Wait time on that was incredibly long. 1 pack of buns and a side of attitude from the workers. This place has been goin down hill so just look else where for bbq bc this place aint it.

So good as usual. Their canine friendly patio was great for lunch on way back home from the vet. Waiter did take care of getting the dogs water before getting to talk to us asking what we wanted to drink. We will be back again with and without our fur babies. Thank you

Just ate there today. I loved this place. I am and old Tn boy and have been eating BBQ since forever. This was some of the best bbq I have ever eating. Highly recommend I plan to go back often.

This has become my go-to place any time I want BBQ. Even my sister & brother-in-law love this establishment. Every time they come in town for a visit this is 1 of the places we always have to go to.

This place is amazing. My only disappointment this last visit was the turkey. It tasted like a processed turkey breast and it was sliced really thin. it was almost like deli meat. I expected smoked, thick cut turkey slices (which I have received at other barbecue restaurants that was delicious. turkey is my go-to barbecue meat). This time I was not thrilled with the turkey meal. But my husband absolutely loved his. He had sausage and chicken. Their sides are very good as well. I definitely recommend getting their baked mac and cheese but it is only available on friday. And the fact that they have six different kinds of barbecue sauces makes it even better. You can pick and choose and go back and forth between all the different flavors.

Baby back ribs packed with flavor tender everything u would want it to be half a chicken equally amazing if I lived here I swear I would eat here every week..that..inside looks really cool with trophys..smells wonderful..

Food was pretty good, never had brisket sliced that thin. Also had the pork tenderloin. Meats just didn’t have the tenderness and smoky flavor from good bbq. Sides were limited. Sauces were fantastic though. That #6 is the best Carolina sauce I’ve ever had. Atmosphere was a good BBQ atmosphere. I had service a 3 but there wasn’t any, you ordered at the counter, picked it up at the counter, and served your own drinks. Which I don’t mind and actually like but some may not appreciate it.

Best pulled pork, baked beans and potato salad!

One of the worst barbecue experiences I’ve had.
We waited almost 20 minutes for our food, and the pulled pork was dry and completely flavorless. I would not eat here again.
I’m giving 3 stars for atmosphere only, as the bathrooms were clean.
